Centricity is pairing its latest fundraise with a broader hiring, technology and distribution push. The wealth management company has raised Rs 280 crore in a Series A round led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund, with plans to add more than 50 private bankers as it expands its wealth and NRI businesses.

Lightspeed India Partners, Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments, Stride Ventures and InnoVen Capital also participated in the funding round.

The fresh capital gives Centricity more room to build out its technology platform and distribution network while widening its presence in India and international markets. The company is also looking to grow through its GIFT City and DIFC-based offerings, extending its focus beyond the domestic wealth management market.

Technology, distribution and private banking in focus

Centricity was founded in January 2022 by Manu Awasthy alongside co-founders Aditya Shankar, Gaurav Tiwari, Manish Sharma, and Pushpendra Singh. It plans to channel the Series A proceeds into three areas: improving its technology platform, expanding distribution and scaling its wealth and NRI businesses.

Hiring is set to form an important part of that expansion. The company plans to bring in more than 50 private bankers, adding relationship and advisory capacity as its wealth management operations grow.

The expansion follows two earlier capital raises. Centricity raised $4 million in 2022 and another $18 million in 2024, before moving on to the current Rs 280 crore Series A round.

Centricity now manages more than Rs 15,000 crore

Founded in 2022, Centricity provides wealth management services to financial advisers, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Its businesses include One Digital, Invictus Private Wealth and Centricity Direct-to-Client. Across these businesses, the company offers investment products including mutual funds, insurance, bonds, portfolio management services, alternative investment funds and global investments.

The platform currently manages more than Rs 15,000 crore in assets under management. It works with one lakh investors, serves more than 250 family offices and has built a workforce of over 800 employees.

Those numbers give additional context to the Series A. Rather than funding an early product build alone, the capital is arriving at a stage when Centricity already has a sizeable asset base, a large investor network and multiple wealth management businesses under its umbrella.

Revenue crossed Rs 61 crore in FY25

Centricity has also recorded a sharp increase in operating revenue.

The company’s operating revenue rose to Rs 61.26 crore in FY25, more than three times the Rs 19.02 crore recorded in the previous financial year.

Losses, however, increased during the same period. Centricity reported a loss of Rs 31.72 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 9.31 crore a year earlier.

The latest funding therefore comes at a point when the company is growing its revenue base while simultaneously expanding its technology, distribution and private wealth operations.

Wealthtech funding remains active

Centricity’s Series A adds another sizeable transaction to funding activity in India’s wealthtech and investment ecosystem.

Other companies in the segment have also raised capital in 2026. Neo Group raised Rs 350 crore in a round led by existing investor Peak XV Partners, while Veriqus Group raised Rs 387 crore in a funding round led by Norwest Venture Partners.

AssetPlus secured $19.3 million, Wint Wealth raised $28 million, Sahi raised $33 million, and Bachatt closed a $12 million Series A round led by Accel.

For Centricity, however, the immediate priorities are clearly defined. The Rs 280 crore Series A will support its technology stack, distribution reach, private banking team and international wealth offerings as the company builds on an asset base that has already crossed Rs 15,000 crore.
