Protein Pantry, a Delhi-based high-protein frozen food brand, has raised Rs 9 crore in a seed funding round led by Sharrp Ventures. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to scale its manufacturing operations, strengthen research and development (R&D), and build its supply chain as it expands its presence across India.

The round also saw participation from Peercheque, Consumer Collective by Atrium and Indian Silicon Valley Capital. Angel investors, including Varun Alagh, Rishubh Satiya, Avnish Anand, Arush Chopra, Saurabh Munjal and Signal Ventures, also participated in the funding round, alongside others.

The funding comes as Protein Pantry looks to scale its in-house manufacturing capabilities while expanding its high-protein frozen food portfolio for Indian households.

Protein Pantry to Scale Manufacturing With Rs 9 Cr Funding

The startup said the fresh capital will primarily go towards setting up and scaling its manufacturing unit. It will also continue investing in R&D and supply chain infrastructure to support its growth.

Founded in November 2025 by Disha Bhattacharya and Prashanth Bhushan, Protein Pantry is building a range of clean-label, high-protein, ready-to-cook frozen foods.

Unlike brands that focus primarily on protein supplements and snacks, Protein Pantry is targeting everyday meals with products designed for household consumption. Its portfolio includes soya chaap, kebabs, cutlets and falafels.

The products are made using kitchen-shelf ingredients and are formulated around a 1:10 protein-to-calorie ratio. The company says its range contains no refined flour, preservatives or palm oil.

Another part of its operating model is in-house production. Protein Pantry manufactures its products entirely in-house, including its marinades, sauces and chaap base. Its products are baked rather than fried.

Protein Pantry Expands Across D2C and Quick Commerce

Protein Pantry has already established a presence across multiple urban markets through its direct-to-consumer (D2C) website and quick commerce platforms.

The brand is live on D2C across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Jaipur. It is also available on Blinkit, FirstClub and Flipkart Minutes across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

According to the company, it has served more than 30,000 households and recorded a strong repeat rate.

The startup is now preparing to expand its quick commerce presence to Pune, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Chennai by the end of 2026.

The planned expansion will increase its reach across major Indian markets as it works to make its frozen food range more accessible to consumers.

New Product Formats in the Pipeline

Beyond manufacturing and distribution, Protein Pantry plans to broaden its product portfolio with new formats over the next 12 to 24 months.

The company is targeting availability across major Indian cities through D2C and quick commerce channels during this period. It also intends to expand its protein range across categories.

Its focus on ready-to-cook foods places it in a segment where consumers can incorporate protein into everyday meals, rather than relying solely on supplements or packaged snacks.

Scaling its manufacturing facility will be central to supporting this expansion, particularly as the company prepares to enter additional cities and introduce new products.

Protein Pantry Funding Amid Growing Interest in Protein Foods

Protein Pantry’s latest funding round adds to the recent investment activity in India’s high-protein and clean-label food segment.

In September 2026, Athena Protein raised a pre-seed round from Campus Fund to expand its high-protein food portfolio and cold-chain distribution.

Meanwhile, The Whole Truth raised approximately $51 million in a Series D funding round in February 2026 to expand its clean-label protein and packaged-food business.

For Protein Pantry, the Rs 9 crore seed round provides capital to build manufacturing capacity, invest in product development and expand distribution. Its next phase will focus on scaling its existing operations while bringing its ready-to-cook protein products to more Indian households.
