DTDC Express Ltd. has elevated Rishi Sareen to Chief Operations Officer and Suraj Sud to Chief Technology Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the logistics company moves ahead with its Vision 2030 plan.
The appointments mark a clear shift in DTDC’s next phase of growth, where operations and technology are expected to work more closely as the company looks beyond express parcel delivery.
Rishi Sareen, who earlier served as Chief Information Officer, will now lead DTDC’s operations. His new role will focus on building a more agile, intelligence-led network by bringing technology and physical infrastructure together. The company said this will help create a more scalable and unified operating model across its delivery ecosystem.
Suraj Sud, meanwhile, has been elevated to CTO after playing a key role in DTDC’s technology function. He will lead the company’s technology roadmap, with a focus on stronger platforms, better data visibility, and sharper decision-making across the business.
DTDC Express CEO Abhishek Chakraborty said the move reflects the company’s belief in building long-term leadership from within. “Both Rishi and Suraj have grown with DTDC and understand the business at a very fundamental level,” he said, adding that the changes are aimed at connecting strategy with execution as the company scales.
For Sareen, the priority will be consistency across the network. He said DTDC’s next phase will depend on closer alignment between planning, execution, and delivery processes to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
Sud said his focus will be on product and platform innovation, using technology to improve customer experience, streamline operations, and support sustainable growth.
The leadership changes come at a time when logistics companies are increasingly relying on stronger technology systems, data-led operations, and integrated networks to handle rising customer expectations. For DTDC, the appointments signal an internal realignment where operational discipline and digital capability are being placed at the centre of its 2030 roadmap.
