In a significant boost for India’s healthtech sector, Bengaluru-based Praan Health has raised ₹8.5 crore in a seed funding round led by Rainmatter Investments, with additional participation from WEH Ventures and a group of well-known angel investors, including Alakh Pandey, Prateek Maheshwari (co-founders of PhysicsWallah), and Arjun Vaidya, founder of Dr. Vaidya’s.

This fresh capital marks an important milestone for the young startup as it looks to strengthen its digital health infrastructure and expand its reach across the country. Praan Health plans to use the funds to enhance its technology platform, grow its medical and coaching teams, and scale its operations to serve more families seeking structured chronic care solutions.

Turning Everyday Habits Into Healing

In‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 2024, Praan Health was established by Navneeth Ramprasad as a personal project to make the lives of ageing parents healthier, stronger and free of pain. Praan Health is different from conventional healthcare services which generally concentrate on treatment only, as it puts a lot of emphasis on prevention and lifestyle changes.

By collaborating with healthcare professionals, the company tailors nutrition and exercise programs that focus on the person’s strengths to not only help the client to become stable but also to be able to get back their health and even reverse their chronic illnesses. Building consistency is at the core of every care plan as the intention is for patients to be gradually introduced to small and sustainable lifestyle habits which, when combined, have great health benefits in the long ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌run.

Praan Health’s programs are offered in 90-day, 180-day, and 365-day formats, tailored for more than 25 chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, osteoporosis, and post-surgery recovery. Each program is structured to help users rebuild mobility, gain energy, and restore their confidence in living independently.

A Digital Bridge Between Families and Health

Praan‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Health is essentially a mobile app-based service. The app is the platform that integrates the family into the healthcare journey. It’s like a gift for young adults who have to take care of their parents’ health from a distance, as the app allows users to upload test results, track progress, check risk scores, and even book doctor appointments all in one place.

Such a comprehensive digital solution certainly makes the process of caregiving more engaging and less daunting. Offspring who are out of the house can follow their parents’ progress, get in touch with care teams, and make sure that treatment is being carried out in the right way. The app is a healthcare management tool that combines medical data, lifestyle monitoring, and emotional support into one ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌platform.

Building a Stronger Foundation for Growth

With the new investment, Praan Health is setting its sights on expanding its team and capabilities. The company plans to onboard more physicians, clinical nutritionists, physiotherapists, and strength coaches, allowing it to deliver a comprehensive, multidisciplinary care experience.

Since its launch, the startup has already supported over 1,500 families across India and conducted more than 50,000 personalized sessions. Each session is carefully structured to meet the unique needs of every individual, ensuring that care remains personalized, consistent, and human-centered.

The company’s model relies heavily on human expertise, complemented by digital tools that make healthcare more accessible and transparent. This balance between technology and human care has helped Praan establish trust with families looking for long-term, reliable health support.

The Growing Importance of Lifestyle-First Care

As‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ the elderly population in India, slowly but surely, is getting older, there is a growing burden of chronic diseases among them, a large proportion of which can be attributed to inactive lifestyles, bad nutrition, and late diagnosis. In most cases, the conventional healthcare systems are so late in their intervention that they have to deal with post-surgery situations. By focusing on early prevention, exercise, and eco-friendly nutrition, Praan Health is determined to radically change the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌situation.

This preventive model aligns with a growing global movement that views ageing not as a decline but as a stage where wellness can still be optimized. By combining scientific expertise with compassionate, everyday coaching, Praan Health is helping families rethink what ageing gracefully can truly mean.

A Step Toward Healthier Tomorrows

Praan‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Health with an additional round of funding of ₹8.5 crores and a user base that is expanding at a rapid pace is gearing up to be the front-runner of India’s preventive healthcare revolution. The company’s goal is to go beyond disease management and enable the families to become the owners of their health way before the arrival of the crisis.

The startup, as it scales its influence and bolsters its functionality, is paving the way for a future in which healthcare for aging parents is a matter of the home, supported by regular physical activity, wholesome nutrition, and uninterrupted medical guidance. The story of Praan Health is the embodiment of the synergic effect of technology and empathy that can significantly improve the quality of the lives of India’s ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌elderly.
