Rapper Blueface was reportedly detained during a police response to a gun-related emergency call in Santa Clarita, California. Deputies later found no armed suspect at the scene, while questions remain about the rapper’s reported detention.
American rapper Blueface reportedly found himself at the centre of a police investigation in Southern California after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an armed man at a local business.
The incident took place in Santa Clarita while the 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was livestreaming on Kick. Local entertainment outlet What’s Up SCV identified Blueface as the person detained, although authorities have not officially confirmed that identification.
The police response began with a report involving a possible firearm, but investigators later determined that no armed man was present.
Why Was Blueface Reportedly Detained?
According to information provided by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, deputies were dispatched to the 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway following a call about a man allegedly carrying a gun inside a business.
Officers responded to the situation as an emergency and encountered a chaotic scene.
During the operation, one individual reportedly failed to follow deputies’ instructions. Authorities subsequently detained one person on suspicion of misdemeanor delaying or obstructing deputies while they were carrying out their duties.
What’s Up SCV reported on social media that Blueface was the individual detained. However, the sheriff’s station watch commander did not confirm the person’s identity.
while the rapper has been linked to the incident through local reporting, the official account does not establish that he was the person suspected of obstructing deputies.
Police Found No Armed Suspect at the Location
The initial report of a possible gunman prompted an emergency response, but the situation changed once deputies secured the area and investigated further.
Authorities determined that there was no man with a gun at the location.
It remains unclear what led to the original emergency call or why someone reported seeing an armed individual.
The sheriff’s station also did not establish whether the person detained would face criminal charges. No additional information about the outcome of the detention was immediately available.
What Happened During Blueface’s Kick Livestream?
The interaction occurred when Blueface was streaming his activities on Kick, a livestreaming app.
This timing drew more attention to the event, especially because local media linked the rapper with the arrest.
