Sony has introduced two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI, giving fans another way to mark the arrival of Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title. The special controllers feature black and white designs influenced by the fictional world of Vice City, one of the key locations associated with the upcoming game.

The GTA 6-themed DualSense controllers will be priced at $84.99, which is approximately ₹7,100. They are scheduled to go on sale globally from 19 November, the same day Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch. Pre-orders will begin on 10 September at 10 am in supported markets.

Two Designs Built Around Vice City’s Contrasting Sides

Sony has created two versions of the controller, with each design representing a different side of Vice City. The White Limited Edition is inspired by the city during the daytime, while the Black Limited Edition takes design cues from its nightlife.

Both controllers feature shimmer coatings and colour-changing effects designed to reflect Vice City’s sunsets and neon-filled streets. Palm tree motifs and the Grand Theft Auto VI logo are moulded into the grips, giving the controllers a distinctive GTA 6 look.

The touchpad features the Roman numeral VI, complemented by pink highlights and an iridescent blue finish. The overall design draws on the visual style associated with Vice City and its Miami-inspired setting.

Sony said the white edition will be sold through PlayStation Direct and retail stores, although supplies will be limited. The black edition will have a more restricted distribution, with availability through PlayStation Direct in some markets and selected retailers in others.

Pre-Orders Begin Across Key Markets

Pre-orders for the new controllers will open on 10 September at 10 am local time in several European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

In the US, pre-orders for the PlayStation Direct version will begin at 7 am PT, which is 10 am ET. Indian customers will be able to place their pre-orders from 7:30 pm IST on 10 September.

The controllers will officially become available on 19 November. Sony has listed the price at $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe and £74.99 in the UK.

Customers ordering the PlayStation Direct version in the US will also be eligible for free launch-day delivery, according to Sony.

Familiar DualSense Technology Comes Along

Despite the visual changes, the limited-edition controllers retain the core features of Sony’s standard DualSense wireless controller. This includes haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which are designed to provide more responsive gameplay.

These features will also be used in Grand Theft Auto VI to make gameplay more immersive. The adaptive triggers can provide dynamic resistance, while haptic feedback can respond to different actions and events taking place in the game.

The special controllers therefore combine the standard DualSense functionality with a design specifically created around Rockstar Games’ upcoming title.

GTA 6 Arrives on PS5 in November

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 on 19 November. The game follows Jason and Lucia and takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, which includes the return of Vice City.

The arrival of the limited-edition DualSense controllers on the same day as the game gives fans the option to pair the new hardware with the latest entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With pre-orders opening on 10 September, fans interested in the special designs will have an opportunity to secure them ahead of the November launch.
