The CYBERLEEK cryptocurrency has suffered a sharp decline following the latest wave of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks, losing nearly 60% in 24 hours and falling more than 71% from its August 23 record high.

According to market data reported on August 27, the Solana-based meme coin’s market capitalisation has dropped to about $4.99 million, down from more than $20 million at its peak. The sell-off comes as the CyberLeek account continues to draw attention through leaked GTA 6 material, while Rockstar Games prepares its official extended presentation of the highly anticipated game.

CYBERLEEK Gives Back Most of Its Leak-Driven Rally

CYBERLEEK had experienced a dramatic rise as leaked GTA 6 footage began circulating online. The token reached an all-time high of approximately $0.03436 on August 23 before reversing sharply.

The latest decline pushed the cryptocurrency to around $0.0068, leaving it more than 70% below its peak. Its market value has followed a similar path, falling from above $20 million to roughly $4.99 million.

The sharp reversal shows how quickly interest around a meme coin can change, particularly when its visibility is closely tied to a fast-moving online campaign.

How the Token Became Tied to the GTA 6 Leaks

CYBERLEEK emerged shortly before the first major wave of footage attributed to the CyberLeek persona. Market tracking data cited in reports shows that the token began trading through a Raydium pool on August 15.

The first major leaked GTA 6 footage associated with the campaign appeared online on August 18. The leaked videos carried CyberLeek branding, helping establish a visible connection between the cryptocurrency and the leak campaign.

As more footage circulated, the token attracted speculative trading and its market capitalisation climbed above $20 million. The rise reflected the intense attention surrounding the leaks rather than any change to the underlying development or release plans for GTA VI.

Bigger GTA 6 Spoiler Fails to Trigger Another Rally

The latest sell-off came after the release of footage focused on Lucia and material described as a major story-related leak.

Earlier clips had shown gameplay and other elements connected with GTA VI. The newer Lucia-focused footage represented a further escalation because it moved closer to story content, increasing the potential spoiler impact for fans.

Despite that added attention, CYBERLEEK did not repeat its earlier surge. Instead, the token entered another steep decline, suggesting that the latest leak failed to generate the sustained buying pressure seen during the initial frenzy.

Rockstar Responds as Official Reveal Nears

Rockstar Games publicly addressed the GTA VI leaks on August 26, describing the situation as heartbreaking for its development team and saying the leaked footage was not how it intended fans to experience the game. The studio also said development was nearly complete and asked fans to wait for the official presentation and the game’s release.

The response came one day before Rockstar’s planned Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. The official presentation is scheduled to premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on August 27, followed by releases on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel and the GTA VI website at 9 p.m. ET.

Rockstar has also maintained GTA VI’s November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Take-Two Escalates Its Search for the Leaker

The leak controversy has also moved into legal territory. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, filed requests for subpoenas targeting Microsoft and Discord as it seeks information that could help identify the person or people operating under the CyberLeek name.

The filings were made in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and seek information connected with accounts and online activity associated with the leaks. Take-Two later expanded its legal efforts to include X and Google in its attempts to identify those responsible.

The identity of the people behind CyberLeek has not been confirmed, and claims circulating online about who may be responsible remain unverified.

Official GTA 6 Footage Could Change the Conversation

CYBERLEEK’s next direction remains uncertain after its steep fall from the August 23 peak. The token’s market value has already declined by roughly three-quarters from its high, while the attention that initially fueled its rise is shifting toward Rockstar’s official GTA VI presentation.

With the extended look arriving on August 27 and the game scheduled for release on November 19, Rockstar is now positioned to take control of the GTA VI news cycle with official material.

For CYBERLEEK, the latest crash highlights the extreme volatility surrounding a cryptocurrency whose popularity became closely associated with an ongoing gaming leak campaign.
