Kawasaki India has introduced the 2027 Ninja 500 in the country with an ex-showroom price of ₹5.76 lakh. The latest model retains the same pricing as the 2026 version and comes with no mechanical changes. Kawasaki has limited the update to a new Lime Green colour scheme with revised white and blue graphics.

Bookings for the motorcycle have opened across Kawasaki dealerships in India, while deliveries are expected to begin soon. With the latest update, the Ninja 500 continues to compete in the middleweight sportbike segment against models such as the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and KTM RC 390.

New Lime Green Finish Gives the Ninja 500 a Fresh Look

For 2027, Kawasaki has focused entirely on the motorcycle’s appearance. The Ninja 500 is now offered in India in a Lime Green finish featuring white and blue graphics. The new colour replaces the paint schemes available on the previous version.

There are no changes to the motorcycle’s design or underlying hardware. The cosmetic update gives Kawasaki a way to introduce a new model year while keeping the Ninja 500 mechanically unchanged. The colour options available in international markets can differ from those offered to Indian buyers.

Proven 451cc Engine Continues Without Changes

Under its fairing, the 2027 Ninja 500 remains unchanged from the previous model. It is powered by a 451cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 45 PS of maximum power and 42.6 Nm of peak torque.

The engine continues to work with a six-speed gearbox and an Assist & Slipper Clutch. Kawasaki has not introduced any performance-related updates for the 2027 model, meaning the engine, transmission and claimed output remain the same as before.

Chassis and Equipment Carry Forward

The Ninja 500 also retains its existing cycle parts and equipment. The motorcycle continues to use a lightweight trellis frame, telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and comes equipped with dual-channel ABS.

The motorcycle also continues with an LCD instrument console. Smartphone connectivity is available on higher variants, while the turn indicators continue to use halogen units. With these features carried over, the 2027 Ninja 500 remains largely identical to the outgoing model apart from its updated exterior finish.

A Quick Move Into the 2027 Model Year

The launch comes relatively soon after the previous model year, but Kawasaki has chosen not to make technical changes to the motorcycle. Instead, the company has concentrated on a visual update while keeping the price unchanged at ₹5.76 lakh.

This approach allows the Ninja 500 to enter the new model year without a major revision to its mechanical package. For buyers considering the motorcycle, the key change for 2027 is therefore the new Lime Green colour and updated graphics rather than any improvement in performance or equipment.

Ninja 500 Continues in a Competitive Segment

The Ninja 500 remains positioned against several established sportbike options in India, including the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and KTM RC 390. With the 2027 version, Kawasaki has retained the same core package while giving the motorcycle a fresh visual identity.

For existing fans of the Ninja 500, the new colour provides an updated appearance without changing the motorcycle’s familiar engine, chassis or equipment. With bookings now open, the 2027 Ninja 500 is set to continue Kawasaki’s presence in India’s entry-level performance motorcycle segment.
