Despite falling revenues, the Sun TV Network made a profit that was higher compared to the last year during the period between July and September. According to the reports released by Sun TV, the company had a net profit worth ₹365 crores for the quarter ended on September 30, 2026.
Revenue went the other way. It fell to ₹940 crore from ₹1,300 crore in the same quarter last year. The company announced the results on Friday, October 30.
Advertising was one of the softer spots. Ad income dropped to ₹253 crore from ₹292 crore, a fall of about 13.4%. Domestic subscription revenue held up better, rising 2.34% to ₹487 crore. The company also reported ₹99 crore in revenue from SunRisers Leeds.
At the same board meeting, Sun TV declared a second interim dividend of ₹3.75 per equity share for 2026-27. That is 75% of the ₹5 face value. The record date is November 5, 2026, and the company said payment will follow within 30 days.
This comes on top of the first interim dividend of ₹5 per share declared on August 12. Together, the two payouts total ₹8.75 per share so far this financial year.
The numbers released so far show the split between a weaker ad line and a steadier subscription line. They do not show how profit held up on so much less revenue. Shareholders have the November 5 record date to watch first, and the next quarters will show whether advertising recovers.
