Starbucks is officially moving into pumpkin spice season, but its 2026 fall menu is doing more than simply bringing back a familiar favourite.

The coffee chain launched its fall lineup on August 25, with the Pumpkin Spice Latte returning alongside several established seasonal drinks. This year, however, Starbucks has widened the menu with new pumpkin creations, banana bread-inspired beverages, a cider-style drink, new food items and a fresh collection of Pumpkin Spice Latte merchandise.

That makes the 2026 comeback less about a single drink and more about turning the familiar arrival of pumpkin spice into a broader seasonal menu.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte is back, but it is not returning alone

The Pumpkin Spice Latte remains at the centre of Starbucks’ fall offering. Its return on August 25 officially marked the start of the chain’s 2026 fall menu.

Several other familiar drinks are returning as well, including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.

Starbucks is also bringing back the Pecan Cortado, Iced Pecan Crunch Latte and Pecan Crunch Latte.

For regular customers, that means much of the familiar fall lineup remains intact. The bigger change is what Starbucks has placed around it.

Three new pumpkin drinks join the menu

Starbucks is adding three pumpkin-focused drinks this year: the Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso, Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha and Pumpkin Spice Chai.

The additions give pumpkin a presence beyond the classic latte and Frappuccino formats, with espresso, matcha and chai now forming part of the seasonal range.

But some of the more unexpected additions move away from pumpkin altogether.

Banana bread is becoming a Starbucks drink

Among the new arrivals are the Iced Banana Bread Latte and Iced Banana Bread Chai.

According to details released with the menu, the drinks bring together banana, cinnamon and brown sugar flavours, taking the profile of banana bread and translating it into two cold beverages.

Starbucks is also introducing the Iced Chaider. The drink combines chai-inspired fall flavours with strawberry acai flavours to create what the company describes as a crisp, cider-like beverage.

Those additions make the fall menu noticeably broader than a straightforward pumpkin spice refresh.

Starbucks is putting 20 grams of protein on the fall menu too

One of the less obvious changes is happening on the food side.

The new Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket combines chicken, crispy bacon and a creamy garlic herb cheese spread inside toasted whole-wheat lavash. Starbucks says the item contains 20 grams of protein.

It arrives alongside a much sweeter newcomer, the Hedgehog Cake Pop. The seasonal treat is made with vanilla cake and buttercream, coated in chocolaty icing and finished with chocolate sprinkles.

The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is also returning. It combines spiced pumpkin with sweet cream cheese and is topped with chopped pepitas.

Taken together, the food lineup gives Starbucks customers a choice that stretches from a protein-focused savoury item to the kind of pumpkin and chocolate treats more closely associated with the season.

There is a fall merchandise drop as well

Starbucks is extending pumpkin spice season beyond drinks and food through a new PSL Society merchandise collection.

The collection includes a pumpkin-embroidered PSL hat priced at $29.95 and a 16-ounce stainless steel cold cup, also priced at $29.95. The cold cup comes with an orange finish and purple accents.

A 12-ounce ceramic PSL mug with an orange design and pastel purple handle is priced at $19.95.

Starbucks’ pumpkin spice-themed grocery products, including packaged coffee, creamers and ready-to-drink beverages, are also available around the seasonal launch.

So, what exactly is Starbucks bringing back for fall 2026?

The Pumpkin Spice Latte may be the familiar headline, but Starbucks’ 2026 fall menu is built around a much larger seasonal assortment.

Customers are getting the classic PSL and returning pumpkin and pecan favourites, while new drinks stretch into pumpkin matcha, pumpkin chai, banana bread and cider-inspired flavours. The food selection adds both a 20-gram protein pocket and a playful Hedgehog Cake Pop, while the PSL Society collection turns the seasonal launch into a merchandise event too.

Starbucks launched the full fall lineup on August 25, 2026.

For anyone waiting for pumpkin spice season to begin, the answer is simple: the PSL is back. The more interesting part of Starbucks’ 2026 menu is everything that has arrived with it.
