Apple’s next Pro iPhones may be heading for a noticeable colour reset. A fresh leak claims the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will arrive in just three finishes: Dark Cherry or Burgundy, Sky Blue, and Black. The same leak leaves Silver off the list, contradicting earlier rumours that had suggested the familiar neutral shade would return.

The information comes from tipster Fixed Focus Digital and, for now, remains a leak rather than an official confirmation from Apple. That distinction matters, particularly with conflicting colour reports already circulating ahead of the launch.

Dark Cherry could become the standout iPhone 18 Pro colour

Of the three finishes mentioned, Dark Cherry or Burgundy appears to be the most significant. The leak describes it as the potential “hero color” for the iPhone 18 Pro generation, effectively taking the place of Cosmic Orange from the iPhone 17 Pro series.

If accurate, the change would give Apple’s premium iPhone range a deeper, more subdued signature shade rather than simply carrying forward the previous generation’s palette.

Sky Blue would provide a lighter option, while Black would serve buyers looking for a more traditional finish. Taken together, the three leaked colours suggest Apple could be preparing a compact palette built around one distinctive shade and two comparatively restrained choices.

Silver is the notable omission

The most interesting part of the latest leak may not be a new colour at all. It is the absence of Silver.

Previous rumours had pointed to a silver version of the upcoming Pro models, but the new claim specifically conflicts with those reports. That leaves the final colour lineup unsettled and makes Silver one of the details worth watching when Apple formally introduces the devices.

If the three-colour claim proves correct, the iPhone 18 Pro generation would also replace the colour options used for the iPhone 17 Pro series rather than simply adding one new finish to the existing selection.

iPhone 18 Pro Max launch is close

As per reports, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled at Apple’s September 9 event. It also states that Apple’s first foldable, referred to as the iPhone Ultra, is expected alongside them.

Until Apple confirms the devices and their finishes, however, Dark Cherry or Burgundy, Sky Blue and Black should be treated as leaked colour options rather than the final retail lineup.

With launch day approaching, the bigger question is whether this latest three-colour list is the one that survives until Apple’s announcement, or whether Silver makes a last-minute return.
