Cardi B has revealed her latest song, “Don’t Chart,” as part of the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, adding another major name to the music lineup ahead of the game’s November 19 release.
The Grammy-winning rapper surprised fans on Thursday night, October 8, when she announced the track on Instagram with the message “Run it up.” The song pairs playful lyrics with the bold, self-assured attitude that has become a signature of her music.
One of the track’s standout moments comes when Cardi turns her chart success into a punchline. “I can name this song ‘Don’t Chart,’ it’s gon’ chart,” she raps, taking a confident swipe at the idea that a song needs a conventional title to become a hit.
Her record on the Billboard charts gives the line added context. Cardi B has accumulated 66 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including five No. 1 hits.
Cardi B Hinted at Her GTA 6 Connection With a Hoodie
The announcement did not come entirely out of nowhere. Cardi had previously sparked speculation about her involvement with Grand Theft Auto after sharing a cropped image of a “Baddie” hoodie on her Instagram Story.
The hoodie drew attention because it resembles the one worn by Lucia, the female protagonist featured in the game’s trailer. The visual connection offered fans a possible clue about Cardi’s involvement before she officially announced “Don’t Chart.”
The track also gives listeners another look at the rapper’s musical output in 2026. It follows “AH HA,” released in July, which reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Rhythmic Airplay chart.
‘Don’t Chart’ Adds to GTA 6’s Star-Studded Music Lineup
Cardi B joins a diverse group of artists associated with GTA VI: The Album. The announced lineup includes Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Metro Boomin, Future, Yung Lean, Keith Richards, Rauw Alejandro, PinkPantheress and Fuerza Regida.
The album is planned to feature 34 tracks, with the remaining music scheduled to arrive alongside Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19.
The growing artist lineup puts music in the spotlight as anticipation builds around the next instalment of Rockstar Games’ long-running franchise. Cardi’s addition brings her distinctive rap style to a soundtrack that spans several musical backgrounds.
Cardi B’s Lyrics Put Her Chart Record Front and Centre
Beyond its connection to the game, “Don’t Chart” leans into the rapper’s established reputation for outspoken lyrics and confident delivery.
In another pointed verse, Cardi delivers a line about designer Birkin bags, using luxury fashion as part of a personal boast aimed at an unnamed target. The lyric adds the kind of confrontational humour that features prominently in the song.
For fans, the title itself is part of the joke. Cardi presents “Don’t Chart” as a track that could succeed despite its name, turning the phrase into a declaration of confidence rather than a prediction of failure.
With the song now announced as part of GTA VI: The Album, Cardi B has added a new release to her 2026 catalogue while joining a soundtrack featuring artists from across the music industry. The full 34-track album is expected to accompany the game’s November 19 launch.
