Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh is preparing a fresh industrial push for its micro, small and medium enterprises sector, with the state government set to launch 38 MSME parks and roll out a ₹200 crore cluster development programme at the MSME Growth Summit 2026 in Vijayawada.
The summit, scheduled for May 25, is being positioned as a flagship event for the state’s MSME roadmap. MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas reviewed the arrangements at Dr B R Ambedkar Kalavedika, where the event will be inaugurated, and asked officials to ensure smooth coordination for the programme.
At the centre of the government’s message is Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s stated vision of creating “an entrepreneur in every household.” The summit is expected to bring together nearly 1,000 participants, including new allottees from 175 MSME parks, entrepreneurs, PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and industrial associations from across Andhra Pradesh.
38 MSME Parks to Anchor Industrial Infrastructure Plan
A key announcement at the summit will be the launch of 38 MSME parks under the state’s broader MSME industrial infrastructure programme. The initiative is expected to strengthen the physical base for small industries across the state and support new entrepreneurs looking for organised industrial spaces.
For Andhra Pradesh, the move comes at a time when state governments are increasingly looking at MSMEs not just as small businesses, but as job creators, export enablers and local manufacturing anchors. The planned parks could become important for entrepreneurs who often struggle with land access, infrastructure, compliance support and reliable industrial facilities.
₹200 Crore Cluster Programme to Support 750 MSMEs
The summit will also see the rollout of the ₹200 crore AP Cluster Development Programme. The programme is aimed at supporting around 750 MSMEs and generating more than 3,000 jobs.
Cluster-based development has become a common policy route for MSME growth because it allows smaller units to share access to infrastructure, technology, services and market linkages. In Andhra Pradesh’s case, the new programme is being placed alongside other initiatives focused on digital transformation, energy efficiency and financing.
Deep-Tech Seed Fund, Digital Assessments and Sustainability Audits
The event will feature several technology, financing and startup-linked initiatives. These include a ₹20 crore SIDBI-backed seed fund for deep-tech startups and digital transformation assessments for one lakh MSMEs.
The government also plans energy and water audits for industrial clusters, signalling that sustainability will be part of the MSME agenda. For small businesses, such audits can be crucial because energy and water costs often affect margins, competitiveness and long-term viability.
The summit will also host focused sessions on global e-commerce access, digital invoice financing and MSME banking solutions. These areas are particularly important for small units trying to move beyond local markets and build more formal, technology-enabled businesses.
Partnerships With India SME Forum, Zoho, Amazon, Meta and Others
Strategic partnerships are expected to be formalised with India SME Forum, Vodafone Idea, Zoho, Amazon, Meta and the Quality Council of India. These partnerships are aimed at strengthening MSME digitisation, export readiness, logistics support and quality certification across the state.
The presence of digital platforms and certification bodies suggests that Andhra Pradesh wants its MSME programme to go beyond infrastructure creation. The focus appears to be on preparing small businesses for online commerce, better compliance, improved quality standards and wider market access.
Export Readiness and Digital Commerce in Focus
Officials have indicated that the summit will give strong attention to export readiness, digital commerce, technology transfer and industrial sustainability. This is important because MSMEs often face barriers when they try to enter larger markets, especially in areas such as quality certification, digital payments, logistics, financing and buyer discovery.
By linking MSME parks, cluster funding, digital assessments and institutional partnerships, the government is attempting to create a more connected ecosystem for small businesses. The real test, however, will be in execution: how quickly the parks become operational, how MSMEs access the cluster programme, and whether the promised digital and financial support reaches enterprises on the ground.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is also scheduled to inaugurate the newly developed Dr Ambedkar Kala Vedika convention centre before joining the MSME summit proceedings.
The review meeting was attended by Dr Yuvaraj, Secretary for the Industries Department; Dinesh Kumar, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of APIIC; and Viswa, CEO of AP MSME Development Corporation.
