Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with plans to strengthen its security products and develop enterprise-grade frameworks for artificial intelligence (AI).
The Delhi-based startup will use the fresh capital to advance its existing product capabilities, introduce AI security frameworks for enterprises and expand its operations across India and the United States.
The funding comes at a time when businesses are dealing with increasingly complex digital environments, making it important to secure sensitive information across users, applications, cloud infrastructure and emerging AI systems.
Zaperon Focuses on Bringing Enterprise Security Under One Platform
Founded in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal, Zaperon develops cybersecurity solutions designed to protect enterprises against data breaches. Its platform follows a centralised approach, allowing organisations to manage different aspects of their IT security through a single console.
The company’s offering combines identity security, data security and AI governance. This enables businesses to manage how employees, applications and AI agents access sensitive information and interact with cloud infrastructure.
Rather than relying on separate security systems for different requirements, Zaperon aims to bring these functions together through identity and context-aware policies. The approach is intended to give organisations greater control over access across conventional digital systems as well as AI-driven environments.
Identity and Data Security Market Presents a $35 Billion Opportunity
The funding also comes as identity and data security emerge as significant areas of investment within the global cybersecurity industry.
Market research estimates that these two segments represent a combined global opportunity of around $16 billion, which is projected to grow to $35 billion by 2030.
For enterprises operating in sectors with strict data protection and compliance requirements, managing access to sensitive information remains an important security priority.
Zaperon’s existing enterprise clientele includes businesses across banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and government. These sectors often deal with sensitive data and critical systems that require controlled access.
Indian Cybersecurity Startups See Higher Funding Activity
Zaperon’s latest funding round adds to the investment activity in India’s cybersecurity startup ecosystem.
Indian cybersecurity startups raised $89 million across 17 funding rounds in the first half of 2026, compared with $47 million during the corresponding period in 2025. The figures indicate a significant increase in capital flowing into the sector.
Several other cybersecurity companies have also secured funding recently.
QNu Labs raised Rs 200 crore in a Series A1 round led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest to expand its quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions. Meanwhile, Mitigata secured $15 million in Series B funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners for its AI-powered cyber-resilience platform.
CloudSEK also raised $10 million from Connecticut Innovations to expand its AI-driven cyber-intelligence platform.
Other companies, including Deep Algorithm Solutions, Equal, Protectt.ai and Astra Security, have attracted funding across areas such as fraud prevention, identity management, mobile security and cloud penetration testing.
Founders and the Road Ahead
Zaperon was established in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal with a focus on enterprise cybersecurity. Its platform brings together multiple security functions, particularly identity management, data protection and AI governance.
With the Rs 7 crore seed investment, the company plans to build on its existing capabilities while developing security frameworks suited to enterprise AI adoption. Its expansion plans also cover two key markets, India and the US.
The company’s next phase will focus on strengthening its product offering and addressing security requirements across traditional enterprise infrastructure and newer AI-powered systems.
