Voice-first AI tutoring startup YoLearn.ai has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round at a valuation of $5 million. The investment round was co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global, with participation from a group of angel investors.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s AI-powered tutoring products and expand its reach across India’s school education and competitive examination ecosystem. According to the company, the funding will support the development of its voice-first audiovisual tutor, which combines spoken explanations with a live interactive sketchpad to improve student learning.
Funding to Accelerate Product Development and Expansion
YoLearn.ai plans to use the newly raised funds to enhance its AI tutoring technology and broaden its presence in India’s education market. A major focus will be on improving its voice-first audiovisual tutor, which enables the AI to explain concepts through real-time conversations while simultaneously drawing diagrams, solving problems, and illustrating ideas on a digital sketchpad.
The company aims to make AI-assisted learning more interactive by replicating the classroom experience, where teachers explain concepts verbally while writing and drawing on a whiteboard.
Building an AI Tutor Around Natural Conversations
Founded in January 2025 by Kirti Prakash Mishra, YoLearn.ai is designed to provide students with an engaging and personalized learning experience through conversational artificial intelligence.
Unlike conventional text-based educational tools, the platform emphasizes real-time voice interactions. Students can ask questions naturally, while the AI tutor responds with spoken explanations and visual demonstrations using an integrated sketchpad. This combination is intended to make complex concepts easier to understand, particularly in subjects that require diagrams, calculations, and step-by-step problem solving.

According to the company, its educational content is mapped to the respective syllabi for both school boards and competitive exams, allowing students to access curriculum-aligned explanations while preparing for multiple examinations.
By combining syllabus-based learning with adaptive AI assistance, the platform seeks to support students throughout their academic preparation.

The platform also offers AI tutor personas inspired by the teaching styles of popular educators. In addition, partner schools can access “AI Avatar” versions of their own teachers, allowing institutions to extend personalized instruction through AI while maintaining familiarity for students.
