Carrum Mobility, a B2B fleet management platform, has raised $10 million (around Rs 96 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Uber, marking the ride-hailing company’s second investment in the startup this year.
The latest funding comes nearly eight months after Uber invested $7 million in Carrum Mobility in January 2026. The fresh capital is expected to support the company’s expansion across existing and new markets, while also helping it strengthen its technology platform and scale operations.
Uber doubles down on Carrum Mobility
Uber’s latest investment strengthens its backing of Carrum Mobility as the fleet management company expands its presence across India’s mobility market.
The January investment was Uber’s first reported investment in Carrum Mobility. With the latest $10 million Series B round, Uber has now backed the company twice in 2026.
Carrum Mobility was founded in 2024 by Karan Jain. The company provides fleet management solutions for CNG and electric vehicles, using technology and data to manage vehicle utilisation and driver operations.
Business nearly doubles after first Uber investment
Carrum Mobility said its business has nearly doubled since Uber’s investment in January 2026. The company attributed this growth to rising demand for premium mobility services.
The startup currently claims to operate more than 5,000 vehicles across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Kolkata as of September 2026.
Its operations are supported by more than 18,000 driver partners across its network. The company also plans to begin operations in Chennai in September 2026, adding another market to its existing footprint.
The expansion comes as Carrum Mobility looks to use its latest funding to deepen its presence in markets where it already operates while entering new geographies.
Carrum Mobility targets technology and expansion
The company said the new capital will be directed towards three key areas: geographical expansion, strengthening its technology platform and scaling operations.
Its technology platform is focused on fleet utilisation and driver operations, with the company managing fleets consisting of both CNG and electric vehicles.
Carrum Mobility has also said that it has been profitable since its first month of operations. Within around two years of starting operations, the company claims to have reached an annualised revenue run rate of approximately Rs 400 crore.
Competition in the fleet management space
Carrum Mobility operates in a segment that has also attracted significant interest from Uber.
The startup competes with Uber-backed fleet operator Everest Fleet. Uber invested $20 million in Everest Fleet in November 2025, following a $30 million investment in the company in September 2024.
With another $10 million going into Carrum Mobility, Uber continues to have investments in multiple fleet operators supporting the mobility ecosystem.
What comes next for Carrum Mobility?
For Carrum Mobility, the latest funding round marks another major step less than three years after its founding.
The company now has more than 5,000 vehicles and over 18,000 driver partners across six cities, while its Chennai launch is expected in September 2026. Its stated focus going forward is to expand its geographic footprint, improve its technology platform and scale its operations.
The latest investment also gives Carrum Mobility additional capital to build on the growth it has reported since Uber’s first investment earlier this year.
