Bengaluru-based medical technology startup Ayati Devices has raised Rs 15 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Inflexor Ventures. The fresh capital will support the company’s next phase of growth as it works to expand the commercial reach of its diagnostic technologies in India and overseas.
The company plans to use the funds to accelerate commercialisation, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and increase investments in research and artificial intelligence. The funding will also support Ayati Devices as it expands its presence across domestic and international healthcare markets.
Building Portable Tools for Diabetic Foot Screening
Founded in 2019 by Nishant Kathpal, Ayati Devices develops diagnostic technologies focused on diabetic foot complications and peripheral vascular disease. The company was incubated at the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay.
Its approach centres on portable, point-of-care diagnostic devices that can support early screening outside tertiary hospitals. The company has developed a range of products covering different aspects of diabetic foot assessment, including nerve function, blood flow, tissue perfusion and plantar pressure.
Among its products is Vibrasense, a handheld device that measures vibration perception threshold to help screen for large-fibre peripheral neuropathy. Vibrasense+T adds warm and cold perception testing to the assessment.
A Wider Platform for Peripheral Vascular Assessment
Ayati Devices has also developed Vasosense for peripheral artery disease screening and Angiocam for real-time tissue perfusion imaging. The company offers the PODIA Trolley as a pay-per-test screening model, which is designed to reduce the upfront investment required from healthcare providers.
Together, these solutions bring several components of diabetic foot assessment onto a single platform. The company’s technology addresses neuropathy, blood flow, microcirculation and plantar pressure, areas that can be important in identifying complications associated with diabetic foot conditions.
Ayati Devices has stated that its products have been deployed across 30 countries, with more than 10,000 devices deployed. The company also reports that its solutions have enabled more than 1 million screenings and that it works with healthcare partners in India and international markets.

Clinical Study Supports Vibrasense Screening
The company’s flagship Vibrasense has also been evaluated in a clinical study involving 562 people with type 2 diabetes. The research compared vibration perception threshold measurements taken using Vibrasense with conventional biothesiometry and nerve conduction studies for screening diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
The study found a strong positive correlation between Vibrasense measurements and those obtained through a standard biothesiometer. Against the biothesiometer, Vibrasense recorded sensitivity of 87.89% and specificity of 86.81%. A smaller group of 61 participants also underwent nerve conduction studies, against which Vibrasense showed sensitivity of 82.14% and specificity of 78.79%.
The research concluded that Vibrasense demonstrated good diagnostic accuracy for detecting peripheral neuropathy in people with type 2 diabetes and could be used as a screening device in routine clinical settings.
Funding to Drive the Next Stage of Expansion
The latest investment gives Ayati Devices additional capital to scale its commercial operations while continuing to develop its medical technology portfolio. With plans to expand manufacturing, enter more markets and increase research and AI investments, the company is positioning its diagnostic platform for wider adoption in healthcare settings.
The funding also comes as Ayati Devices continues to build its presence in the medical technology sector, with Inflexor Ventures identifying the company among its portfolio businesses advancing indigenous healthcare technology.
