Ashoka University recorded 100% placements for its 2025-26 placement cycle, with students receiving 425 offers from 153 organisations, according to figures shared by Info Edge founder and executive vice chairman Sanjeev Bikhchandani.

Bikhchandani posted the update on X after receiving the message in an Ashoka University WhatsApp group. The figures covered outcomes reported by the university’s Career Development Office and Office of Post Graduate Studies.

Of the 153 organisations participating in the placement cycle, 73 were new recruiters. The highest offer stood at Rs 42.5 lakh per annum and was made to a computer science major from the undergraduate Class of 2025.

The university’s average cost to company increased by 16.3%, rising from Rs 11.6 lakh per annum to Rs 13.5 lakh per annum. The median compensation grew by 7.5%, moving from Rs 10.6 lakh per annum to Rs 11.4 lakh per annum.

BFSI and consulting lead recruitment

Four sectors accounted for 60% of the placed cohort, with banking, financial services and insurance emerging as the largest recruiter category.

The BFSI sector hired 21% of the placed students. Average compensation in the sector increased by 4% to Rs 12.7 lakh per annum.

Consulting accounted for 19% of placements and recorded the highest average compensation among the four leading sectors. The sector’s average CTC rose by 22% to Rs 16.1 lakh per annum.

Technology companies hired 10% of the placed cohort. Average compensation in the sector increased by 29% to Rs 15.1 lakh per annum, marking the sharpest percentage rise among the major recruitment categories.

Data, research and analytics also accounted for 10% of placements. Average CTC in the sector increased by 21% to Rs 13.5 lakh per annum.

The sectoral figures indicate that financial services and consulting continued to absorb a significant share of Ashoka graduates, while technology and analytics roles recorded notable increases in average compensation.

More than 400 postgraduate offers

Ashoka students also reported strong outcomes in applications to universities outside India.

According to the update, 130 students received more than 400 offers from leading global universities. This included 24 admissions to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, collectively known as Oxbridge. The corresponding number for the previous year was 15.

Students also received 24 Ivy League admissions, compared with 13 in 2025.

The update said students secured partial scholarships covering between 10% and 80% of tuition or programme costs across master’s programmes at institutions including Yale University, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, Sciences Po, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the London School of Economics, Hertie School and the National University of Singapore.

Full-ride scholarships and funded PhD admissions

Ashoka students received 18 full-ride scholarships for graduate master’s programmes, up from eight previously reported.

The scholarships included awards under programmes such as Rhodes, Gates Cambridge, Inlaks and Felix.

Students also secured 16 PhD admissions, of which 12 were fully funded, according to the figures shared by Bikhchandani.

Taken together, the placement and higher education outcomes point to gains across compensation levels, recruiter participation, postgraduate admissions and scholarship support during the 2025-26 cycle.

The placement update also shows a broad spread of student outcomes. While corporate recruitment remained concentrated in BFSI, consulting, technology and analytics, another group of students received offers from universities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
