In a landmark moment for the global real estate industry, Chandigarh has become the launchpad for MrProptek, the world’s first AI-enabled property booking app. Unveiled on May 27 by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, MrProptek is set to change how properties are discovered, compared, and booked, offering a fully digital, broker-free experience that can be completed in under 10 minute.
A Visionary Beginning
The brainchild of 23-year-old Aagman Bhatia, an AI/ML postgraduate from Plaksha University, and his father KS Bhatia, founder of Pumpkart, MrProptek reflects the growing spirit of innovation in India’s startup ecosystem. The launch event, attended by top government officials, was hailed as a matter of pride for Chandigarh and Punjab, with Governor Kataria highlighting the app’s mission to national initiatives like Digital India, Skill India, and Startup India.
“It is a matter of pride for Chandigarh and Punjab that the world’s first such app has been launched by a young and dynamic entrepreneur,” said Governor Kataria at the unveiling.
How MrProptek Works: The ‘Zomato for Property’
MrProptek positions itself as the “Zomato for property,” leveraging a proprietary tech stack anchored by two in-house innovations:
- Oora: An intelligent AI assistant providing real-time recommendations, location intelligence, builder background checks, and even five-year property appreciation forecasts.
- Aug: A 4K virtual walkthrough engine offering immersive property tours, room measurements, interior toggles, and a “dollhouse” view for both residential and commercial listings.
Users can search, compare, and book verified properties directly through the app, eliminating the need for brokers. The platform also integrates secure payment and documentation, and enables live video calls with builders for instant clarifications.
A Game-Changer for Builders and Buyers
For developers, MrProptek’s Builder Panel allows instant global uploads of entire project inventories. Aggressive pre-launch marketing, influencer campaigns, and global exhibitions ensure that projects can sell out within hours, resulting in a feat in an industry notorious for slow deal closures.
Buyers, meanwhile, benefit from a seamless, transparent process that reduces months of property hunting and paperwork into a matter of minutes. The app’s AI-driven interface, combined with immersive virtual reality and augmented reality features, helps global property exploration from the comfort of a phone or laptop.
Ambitious Expansion Plans
Following its Chandigarh debut, MrProptek plans to expand rapidly. The company plans to launch in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Surat within the next two months, with a Dubai rollout planned for August. By 2028, the founders aim to have a presence across all of Asia. Additional features, including AI-driven commercials and a dedicated rent and leasing app, are expected by the end of 2026.
Industry Impact and Future Outlook
MrProptek’s arrival tells a paradigm shift for the real estate sector one that prioritizes speed, transparency, and user empowerment. By digitizing and automating the property booking process, the platform is not only simplifying transactions but also setting a new benchmark for global proptech innovation.
As the world watches Chandigarh’s latest tech export, the success of MrProptek could well determine the pace and direction of digital transformation in real estate, both in India and beyond.
