Direct-to-consumer beauty startup AntiNorm has raised ₹28 crore in a seed funding round, With existing backers, V3 Ventures and Rukam Capital, participating and increasing their earlier commitments. They aim to scale a multifunctional beauty and personal care brand aimed at modern, time-constrained consumers.
Founded in 2024 by Aparna Saxena, AntiNorm operates in India’s fast-growing D2C beauty space with a clear focus on simplifying daily routines. The brand is built around multifunctional products that are designed to deliver performance while reducing the number of steps typically involved in beauty and personal care regimens.
Capital Deployment and Growth Focus
The newly raised capital will be deployed across product research and development, distribution expansion across online and offline channels, hiring across key functions, and working capital requirements as the company moves into its next phase of growth.
“We started AntiNorm to simplify everyday beauty without compromising on performance. This funding allows us to strengthen our R&D, expand distribution, and build the team needed to scale responsibly while staying focused on multifunctional innovation,” said founder and CEO Aparna Saxena.
Commenting on the investment, Fireside Ventures’ Principal Varun Varma said the brand’s emphasis on simplifying personal care without sacrificing performance, combined with early consumer traction and product focus, were key factors behind the decision to back AntiNorm.
Product Portfolio and Innovation Strategy
AntiNorm’s current portfolio includes dry shampoo, an all-in-one hair cream, and a lip treatment, each positioned as a multitasking product rather than a single-use offering. The company’s product strategy is centred on format-led innovation, with the aim of replacing multi-step routines with fewer, more efficient solutions.
In the next year, AntiNorm is looking to launch as many as seven new products in beauty, personal care, and hybrid. These launches will further expand the brand’s multifunctional use case to an even broader range of everyday use cases.
Early Consumer Response
AntiNorm is registering double-digit rates of repeat purchase in the first month, which is a very encouraging start, as it showcases consumer acceptance. It takes repeat business as one of the most important indicators of product-market fit, given the category is more prone to registration but is harder to achieve in terms of loyalty.
Customer feedback continues to play a central role in refining formulations and shaping the brand’s upcoming product pipeline.
Positioning in India’s D2C Beauty Market
The funding comes at a time when India’s beauty and personal care market is witnessing heightened competition from digital-first brands. AntiNorm is positioning itself away from crowded, single-use categories by focusing on multifunctionality, efficiency, and everyday relevance.
With fresh capital and an expanding product roadmap, the company is now entering its next phase of growth with an emphasis on disciplined scaling, product-led differentiation, and building a long-term consumer brand in India’s D2C beauty ecosystem.
