DAAKit, a hyperlocal fulfilment and last-mile logistics startup, has raised $138,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The fresh capital is expected to support the company’s next phase of growth as it strengthens its presence in key urban markets and sharpens its operational capabilities.

Focus on Dark Store Network Growth

The company plans to deploy the newly raised funds to expand its footprint by launching 25 additional dark stores across Tier I and Tier II cities. This expansion is aimed at improving delivery efficiency and enabling quicker order fulfilment for partner brands. Alongside physical infrastructure, DAAKit is also investing in enhancing its technology backbone and building a stronger team to support its scaling ambitions.

Asset-Light Model Driving Efficiency

Founded in 2024 by Chandan Ghugtyal, DAAKit operates on an asset-light logistics model designed to help brands decentralise their inventory. By leveraging a network of fulfilment centres, the platform allows businesses to position inventory closer to demand clusters, reducing delivery timelines and operational costs. This approach enables faster deliveries while maintaining flexibility and scalability for partner brands.

Expanding Presence Across Key Cities

DAAKit has already established operations in major metropolitan markets, including Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. The company is also testing its model in Lucknow as a pilot market, which is expected to guide its expansion into additional cities. This multi-city presence reflects the startup’s strategy of targeting high-demand urban clusters while gradually entering emerging markets.

Consistent Growth in Orders and Revenue

The startup reports steady growth, with order volumes and revenue increasing by 15 to 20 percent on a month-on-month basis. At the same time, DAAKit states that it has been able to maintain double-digit EBITDA margins, indicating a focus on sustainable growth alongside expansion. This balance between scaling operations and maintaining profitability highlights the company’s emphasis on efficient unit economics.

Technology-Led Fulfilment Strategy

DAAKit’s platform integrates hyperlocal fulfilment with AI-driven logistics systems to optimise delivery routes, inventory placement, and overall operational efficiency. By combining dark stores with intelligent logistics solutions, the company aims to enhance delivery speed and reduce costs for sellers. This technology-led approach is positioned as a key differentiator in an increasingly competitive logistics landscape.

Ambitious Order Targets Ahead

Currently fulfilling thousands of orders daily, DAAKit is working towards a target of nearly 500,000 monthly orders as it expands its network. The planned increase in dark stores and continued investment in technology are expected to play a crucial role in achieving this milestone. With a growing presence across major cities and a focus on operational efficiency, the company is positioning itself to scale rapidly within the hyperlocal logistics segment.
