Indian fabless semiconductor startup Vervesemi Microelectronics has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round, with Unicorn India Ventures as a co-lead investor. The round also saw participation from Roots Ventures and MAIQ Growth Scheme, according to details shared by the company in a press release.
The company said it will use the fresh capital to accelerate commercialisation of its machine learning–enhanced analog signal chain IC portfolio, expand its IP portfolio, strengthen R&D capabilities, and build go-to-market presence across Asia, the US and other key semiconductor markets.
What Vervesemi Microelectronics does?
Founded in 2017 by Rakesh Malik and Pratap Narayan Singh, Vervesemi describes itself as a fabless semiconductor company focused on high-performance analog and mixed-signal IP and differentiated ICs for global markets. The startup says it uses proprietary machine learning–enabled techniques to improve reliability, yield and system-level performance in mission-critical use cases. The company had previously raised $500,000.
Product progress and expansion areas
Over the past year, Vervesemi said it has moved forward on “technology maturation and readiness,” including validating its ML-enabled analog signal chain architecture in silicon. It also pointed to momentum on the business side, customers entering production, along with a widening product pipeline and customer footprint across industrial and smart energy segments.
It also said it has launched a motor control product line aimed at high-efficiency and high-reliability applications such as electric vehicles, drones and industrial automation, combining precision control intelligence and enhanced fault detection to improve performance and safety.
On manufacturing readiness, the startup said it has strengthened partnerships across fabrication, packaging and testing to enable production and faster silicon validation cycles.
IP depth and ecosystem tie-ups
Vervesemi claims it has built 140+ semiconductor IP blocks and 25 IC product variants spanning defence, industrial, motor control and smart energy applications. Its portfolio is backed by 12 patents and five trade secrets, and it is listed as an IP alliance partner in the Samsung Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) and a UMC IP alliance partner
With Series A capital now in hand, Vervesemi is effectively signalling a shift from “tech validation” to “market execution”, the hard part of semiconductors where productisation, qualification cycles, and customer ramp-ups tend to decide whether deep IP translates into durable revenue.
