Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed after three motorcycle-borne men allegedly opened fire at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening. The incident took a disturbing turn when individuals claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the shooting and issued fresh threats against Salman Khan and people working with him.
The actor’s driver was reportedly injured in the incident. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to investigate the matter immediately and take strict action against those responsible.
While the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, a message attributed to the Bishnoi gang offers a possible explanation for why Tiger Shroff was targeted.
Why Did the Bishnoi Gang Target Tiger Shroff?
The gang’s claim suggests that Tiger Shroff was targeted over his alleged failure to heed earlier warnings, with the broader threat directed at people associated with Salman Khan.
In a message circulated after the incident, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility for what happened to the actor.
The message alleged that Tiger had previously been contacted and warned but had not responded as the group wanted.
“We had called and warned him, but he did not understand. Therefore, today we made him understand in a stronger way,” the message stated.
The warning went beyond Tiger Shroff. The group also threatened others in the Mumbai film industry who continued working with Salman Khan or refused to comply with its demands.
What Is the Salman Khan Connection?
Salman Khan’s name featured prominently in the message claiming responsibility for the attack.
The group warned that people working closely with Salman could face similar consequences, suggesting that its dispute with the actor was no longer being directed at him alone.
“Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who does not listen to us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Wait and watch,” the message read.
Bishnoi Gang Demands Apology From Salman Khan
The threats did not end with the message about Tiger Shroff.
Anil Pandit also demanded that Salman Khan apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community.
In an audio message reported to have been shared by the Mumbai Crime Branch, Pandit warned Salman of consequences if he failed to apologise.
The message included threats against the actor’s family and suggested that his existing security arrangements would not necessarily protect him.
What Happened to Tiger Shroff in Juhu?
The shooting occurred on Sunday evening, October 18, when three men travelling on a motorcycle opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s car in the Juhu area of Mumbai.
The Lawrence Bishnoi group subsequently claimed responsibility through a message attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu.
Earlier Shooting Outside Salman Khan’s Bandra Residence
The latest incident has also brought renewed attention to the shooting outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai home in 2024.
On April 14, 2024, two motorcycle-borne men fired shots outside the actor’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.
That incident forms part of the background to the continuing security concerns surrounding Salman Khan.
Maharashtra CM Orders Investigation
Following the attack on Tiger Shroff, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the Police Commissioner to investigate the incident without delay.
He also called for strict action against those responsible.
The investigation will be crucial in determining who fired at the actor’s car, whether the attackers acted on instructions from the Bishnoi gang and whether the alleged earlier warnings were genuine.
