Taylor Swift now has another notable connection to the Cleveland area after Travis Kelce reportedly purchased a historic mansion in Bratenahl, Ohio, for $5.35 million.

The property, known as Moyenage, is an eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion with a roughly 21,000-square-foot interior and 3.5 acres of land. Dating back to the Gilded Age, the estate is reportedly the most expensive home ever sold in the small lakeside village.

Kelce reportedly completed the purchase in March 2026, months before his July wedding to Taylor Swift in New York City.

While the price and scale of the house immediately attract attention, its location gives the transaction a more personal dimension.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce now have another link to Cleveland

Bratenahl sits along Lake Erie on the outskirts of Cleveland and has a population of just 1,388 people. The mansion is also only minutes from Cleveland Heights, where Kelce grew up.

The house itself dates to the Gilded Age and covers approximately 21,000 square feet, with the estate extending across 3.5 acres.

For Taylor Swift, the purchase follows another recent visit to Kelce’s hometown area.

In May 2026, Kelce brought Swift to Cleveland for an NBA game. He later spoke about what it meant to return to the city with her during an episode of his New Heights podcast.

“Getting Tay back to Cleveland and showing her my roots is always something I love doing,” Kelce said.

His connection to Cleveland has been evident for years. In a 2020 interview with The Players’ Tribune, Kelce described his affection for the city and the people who shaped his experience there.

“I just have so much love for the people in that city,” he said. “It’s given me so many ways to appreciate life, and one of them is definitely the sports world.”

The $5.35 million purchase came before Taylor Swift’s wedding to Kelce

The timing of the property deal adds another layer to the story.

Kelce reportedly bought Moyenage in March, several months before he and Taylor Swift married in July. The transaction therefore came during a period when attention was already turning toward where the couple might eventually establish a home together.

Following their engagement in August 2025, reports indicated that Swift and Kelce had been looking at properties in Cleveland while considering where they might ultimately settle.

There was no certainty at the time that Cleveland would become their permanent base.

That distinction remains important.

There is currently no confirmation that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce plan to use the Bratenahl mansion as their permanent residence.

A record-setting home in a village of fewer than 1,400 people

The Bratenahl location helps separate this purchase from a typical celebrity real estate story.

The mansion reportedly set a residential sales record for a village with fewer than 1,400 residents, while also putting Kelce close to the part of Ohio where he grew up.

For Taylor Swift, meanwhile, the property adds another Cleveland-area connection after her visit with Kelce earlier in the year.

Whether Moyenage becomes a long-term home for the couple remains unanswered. What has been reported is considerably clearer: Kelce paid approximately $5.35 million for an eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom Gilded Age estate in Bratenahl, just minutes from his Cleveland Heights roots.

That combination of family geography, historic architecture and a record-setting local sale makes the property significant even before questions about its eventual use are answered.
