Samsung is expected to continue its annual Galaxy S series refresh with the Galaxy S27 lineup, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra is already attracting attention through early leaks and rumours. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the phone, recent information points to a possible mix of design changes, upgraded hardware, new camera specifications and a larger battery.

The latest leak focuses on one of the simpler but notable details: the colour options. Tipster Ice Universe has reportedly suggested that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could be offered in five colourways, with Violet tipped as a special option.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra colours tipped

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to arrive in Black, Blue, Light Pink and White, while Violet could be offered as an additional special colour.

The colour information comes ahead of Samsung’s expected next-generation flagship launch, although the company has not confirmed any of these options yet.

Earlier CAD renders have also surfaced online, offering an early look at the possible design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The renders, combined with the latest colour leak, suggest that Samsung may be preparing a refreshed look for its top-end Galaxy S27 model.

Galaxy S27 Ultra specifications tipped

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is reportedly being lined up with a 6.9-inch 2K LTPO display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is also tipped to feature an AR coating and a second-generation privacy display.

The phone could measure around 7.97mm in thickness and may use an aluminium frame.

On the performance side, the flagship is tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen Extreme 6 chipset. It could be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR6 RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 5.0 storage.

One of the more notable changes could be the battery. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is reportedly expected to pack a 5,700mAh battery, with support for 60W wired charging and 25W MagSafe charging.

Galaxy S27 Ultra camera setup

The camera system is also expected to remain a major part of the Ultra model’s appeal. Current leaks point to a 200MP primary camera, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide camera using a 1/2.5-inch sensor.

The phone is also tipped to feature a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, the device could carry a 16MP front camera.

These specifications remain part of the early leak cycle, meaning Samsung could change the hardware before the phone is officially announced.

Seven years of software updates tipped

Samsung is also expected to continue offering long-term software support with the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The leaked information points to seven years of software updates, including seven years of security patches.

The phone is also rumoured to carry an IP68 rating, which would provide protection against dust and water.

Galaxy S27 Ultra launch timeline

Samsung has not announced a launch date for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. However, if the company follows its usual Galaxy S series release pattern, the phone could arrive around late February or early March 2027.

That timeline is not confirmed, so the actual launch date could be different.

Galaxy S27 Ultra expected price in India

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to remain a premium flagship, with early reports putting its starting price somewhere between ₹1.6 lakh and ₹1.7 lakh in India.

However, this is only an early estimate. Samsung has not revealed the official pricing, storage variants or availability details for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

For now, the combination of a possible 5,700mAh battery, 200MP camera, 6.9-inch display and five colour options including Violet gives an early indication of what Samsung’s next Ultra flagship could offer. More details are expected to emerge before the company’s official announcement.
