Dark Storm Team Claims Attack on X.

A hacking group called Dark Storm Team has reportedly claimed responsibility for the disruption, saying they carried out a DDoS attack in a public Telegram post. Due to this, X is down again for the third time today.

The Dark Storm Team is a hacking group known for its pro-Palestinian stance. They’ve used cyberattacks, like DDoS attacks, as a way to protest political or military actions tied to the Israel-Palestine conflict. The group has targeted platforms they believe support the opposing side, using their online activities to make a point about the issue. While their main focus is cyberattacks, their actions are driven by a strong political and ideological viewpoint on the conflict.

A Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal operation of a targeted server, service, or network by overwhelming it with a flood of internet traffic. DDoS attacks are effective because they use multiple compromised devices—such as computers and IoT devices—as sources of the attack traffic, creating a massive volume of requests that the target’s infrastructure cannot handle.

It all started with protests that erupted against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), then attacks targeted Tesla showrooms, and finally, X (formerly Twitter) experienced a major outage. What ties all these events together is Elon Musk — a common thread showing that his ventures are currently facing significant challenges.

On March 10, 2025, X (formerly known as Twitter) experienced significant outages affecting users globally. According to Downdetector, the issues began around 2:30 a.m. Eastern Time, with reports peaking at approximately 40,000 incidents by 10 a.m.

Users reported difficulties logging in, posting, and viewing content. The outages were particularly disruptive for NFL insiders during a critical period of free agency news.

Elon then took to X to explain that the platform is facing a massive cyberattack, noting that this kind of cyber attack can involve a coordinated group and/ or a country.
