Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and fashion brand SKIMS is set to enter the Indian market through an exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL). The collaboration will bring SKIMS to Indian consumers through both physical retail stores and digital channels.

The India rollout will begin with flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai, before expanding to other cities in phases. The partnership will introduce SKIMS’ range of shapewear, underwear, loungewear and menswear to India’s growing premium fashion market.

For Reliance Brands, the partnership adds another globally recognised name to its portfolio of international luxury and premium labels.

Flagship Stores to Lead the India Rollout

SKIMS’ entry into India will initially focus on two of the country’s biggest fashion markets, Delhi and Mumbai. The planned flagship stores will provide customers with a physical retail experience, while digital channels will offer another route for consumers to access the brand.

The phased expansion beyond Delhi and Mumbai is expected to broaden SKIMS’ presence across the country as the brand establishes itself in the Indian market.

The move also marks an important step in SKIMS’ international expansion strategy, as the company continues to build its presence beyond its established markets.

Why SKIMS Is Targeting India’s Premium Fashion Market

India’s premium fashion and lifestyle segment has been attracting increasing attention from international brands, supported by younger consumers and growing demand for global labels.

SKIMS’ entry is likely to add another major international player to India’s shapewear and intimate wear market. The brand has built its identity around bodywear and everyday clothing, with products spanning shapewear, underwear, loungewear and menswear.

For Reliance, bringing SKIMS to India fits into its broader strategy of partnering with prominent international brands and developing their presence in the country.

Kim Kardashian Highlights Indian Consumer Interest

SKIMS co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Kim Kardashian said the brand was built around the idea that everyone should feel comfortable and confident in what they wear. She also highlighted the response SKIMS has received from its community in India and expressed excitement about welcoming Indian consumers to its stores.

The partnership also brings together Kardashian’s globally recognised brand with Reliance’s established retail network in India, creating a new route for SKIMS to reach consumers in one of the world’s largest fashion markets.

SKIMS Builds Momentum With Global Expansion

Founded in 2019, SKIMS has expanded rapidly from a shapewear-focused brand into a broader fashion and lifestyle business. The company has continued to grow its international presence through new retail markets.

The India announcement follows SKIMS’ expansion into cities including London and Dubai, while Hong Kong and Seoul are also part of its wider international expansion plans.

The brand’s global growth has been supported by significant investor interest. In 2025, SKIMS raised $225 million in a funding round led by Goldman Sachs, giving the company a valuation of $5 billion.

A New Chapter for SKIMS in India

The partnership with Reliance Brands gives SKIMS a structured entry into India, beginning with Delhi and Mumbai before moving into additional markets.

For Indian consumers, the launch will bring another internationally known fashion label into the premium retail space. For SKIMS, the India debut represents another step in its effort to establish a wider global footprint while expanding access to its core product categories.
