Fintech startup Slash has secured $100 million in a Series C funding round, marking a major step in its push to reshape business banking through artificial intelligence and modern financial infrastructure.
Slash, Founded in 2021 by Victor Cardenas Codriansky, began by serving niche segments like sneaker resellers but has since expanded to cater to a wider range of businesses. Its core proposition is simple: replace outdated banking systems with faster, AI-powered processes that reduce friction in everyday financial operations.
The core idea behind Slash’s approach lies in automation. Slash is developing software applications capable of performing various functions, including the processing of documents, handling disputes, and communicating with banks. With this shift from manual to automated processes, Slash seeks to offer faster and more efficient services than many companies used to, with their outdated systems.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate expansion into new markets and strengthen the company’s global presence. The broader goal is to create a banking product that works seamlessly across geographies, supported by technologies like AI and stablecoins to enable consistency and scalability.
Slash is entering a competitive space, going up against well-funded fintech firms like Ramp and Brex. However, its approach leans more heavily on rebuilding the underlying banking experience rather than just layering software tools on top of existing systems. The company is positioning itself not only as a financial tools provider, but as a primary banking partner for businesses.
Financially, the company has shown strong momentum. It has been profitable since May of the previous year and is targeting $250 million in annualised revenue by 2025. Backing from prominent investors including Ribbit Capital, Khosla Ventures, Goodwater Capital, NEA and Y Combinator further underscores confidence in its model.
Despite the rise of fintech, a large portion of businesses still rely on traditional banks. This gap presents a significant opportunity for companies like Slash that are attempting to modernise how businesses manage money. By focusing on automation, speed and global accessibility, Slash is betting that the next wave of fintech growth will come from replacing legacy banking experiences altogether.
