In a significant expansion move, Honasa Consumer Ltd, the parent company of Mamaearth and The Derma Co has announced the acquisition of BTM Ventures Pvt Ltd, the owner of men’s grooming label Reginald Men, in a deal valued at ₹195 crore.

The company will initially purchase a 95% stake through a secondary sale, with the remaining 5% to be bought after 12 months under pre-agreed terms.

Mamaearth Expands

Reginald Men, founded in August 2022 by Trisha Reddy Talasani, has quickly carved out a niche in the premium men’s personal care segment. Despite its young age, the brand has reported impressive financials, generating over ₹70 crore in revenue between November 2024 and October 2025, while maintaining EBITDA margins of nearly 25%.

One of its standout products, Helios Moisturizing Sunscreen, has emerged as the most searched sunscreen for men on Google in India, underscoring the brand’s sharp positioning and strong digital traction. The fast-growing sunscreen and serum categories have been highlighted as priority growth areas for Honasa.

For Honasa, the deal marks its first major play in the men’s grooming market, giving it both an established brand and a proven marketing engine rather than building a presence from scratch. The company has said it sees strong value in Reginald Men’s product-market fit, digital-first marketing approach and its stronghold in South India, a region that contributes the bulk of the brand’s revenue.

Honasa also noted that the acquisition helps strengthen its regional footprint. Reginald Men’s understanding of consumer behaviour in South India, a competitive skincare market, is expected to support Honasa’s broader distribution strategy across high-demand categories.

The structure of the deal, with a staggered acquisition of the final 5% stake after a year, indicates a transition phase where founders and key operators continue to steer the business before full integration. Honasa expects to leverage Reginald Men’s marketing playbooks across its sunscreen and serum portfolios.

The move signals Honasa’s clear intent to deepen its presence in the men’s grooming space, a segment witnessing growing demand driven by digital adoption, premiumisation and focused product lines. With Reginald Men’s fast-scaling brand and Honasa’s distribution muscle, the acquisition sets the stage for a stronger push in targeted male skincare.
