NLB Services, a tech company, says this meeting has become important to the local economy and its deep spiritual value. The Uttar Pradesh government hopes that about 40 crore (400 million) people will come, making it one of the biggest peaceful meetings in history.
Economic impact: Rs 2 lakh crore in action
CAIT says that this event will make a huge Rs 2 lakh crore in economic action. This will open up many jobs in different areas like building, event help, safety, local trade, travel, fun, and farming.
“The growth in jobs will help both old and new businesses,” said Sachin Alug, CEO of NLB Services.
Job creation in many areas
The rise in short-term jobs is a big deal for both formal and casual job markets. In travel and hospitality, jobs like hotel workers, guides, and porters are expected to grow, with about 4.5 lakh new jobs needed to serve the many guests. The transport and logistics sectors will also need drivers, managers, and more staff, creating around 3 lakh jobs.
Jobs in health care and tech
Temporary health camps during the meet will need freelance nurses, paramedics, and other health care staff, creating about 1.5 lakh jobs to keep guests safe and healthy.
The tech area will also grow, needing about 2 lakh workers to run online services, such as apps for virtual visits and live updates for the event. They will also help keep digital spaces safe.
Retail sector growth
Shops that serve the needs of the guests are set to create about one lakh jobs in service and sales, especially for holy items, gifts, and local products.
A record-breaking holy gathering
So far, about 7.72 crore guests have joined the world’s largest holy meet. The Maha Kumbh 2025 is set to keep this strong tradition alive, creating many jobs and driving economic growth alongside its rich culture and spiritual value.
