Fittr, a community-based health and online fitness marketplace, reported a robust performance for the recently concluded financial year, recording a gross sale of approximately ₹134 crore on a cash basis. The company, founded by Jitendra Chouksey, attributes its success to a steady rise in its service offerings, despite challenges in the fitness sector.
Growth Across Verticals
The core services of the company also witnessed a substantial growth, as pointed out by Chouksey in his recent LinkedIn update. Coaching, being one of the main offerings of Fittr, registered a growth of nearly 17%. The Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS), which is the education wing of Fittr, witnessed a whopping 40% growth, while the Hart ring, being a relatively newer initiative, registered an exponential growth of more than 700%.
The financials of the company show a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of about ₹12 crore, indicating a robust business model and trust of customers. Against the challenges of a very competitive fitness market, Chouksey said, “All businesses were profitable. More than 50,000 different users trusted us with their health this year.”
Building a Health Ecosystem
Fittr’s fitness philosophy is centered around customized plans that consider users’ fitness objectives, equipment availability, time, and exercise preferences. Unlike most competitors, Fittr has always advocated for fitness without supplements, drugs, or gimmicks, rather emphasizing trust, transparency, education, and accountability.
Emboldened by its progress, Fittr is now making a foray into healthcare services with the ambition of creating an ecosystem based on the same ethos. The horizon may hold possibilities of collaboration with doctors, pathology labs, and even hospitals in the future, where the mantra is still healthcare made affordable and not dependent on health insurance.
A Journey of Resilience
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Chouksey candidly shared that the past few years had been particularly challenging, with some even doubting Fittr’s sustainability. However, he emphasized that these doubts served as motivation, driving the team to push harder. “We might not win immediately, but we will eventually! Because we don’t quit!” he asserted.
Chouksey also acknowledged the unwavering support from his team, coaches, family, and the larger Fittr community, while expressing gratitude even to skeptics whose doubts propelled the company forward.
Looking Ahead
As Fittr keeps expanding its fitness and health programs, the resilience and commitment of the company to genuine, science-driven fitness solutions continue to be its greatest strengths. With a bold healthcare roadmap, Fittr is looking to redefine the convergence of fitness and healthcare in the years ahead.
By staying true to its core philosophy and embracing challenges head-on, Fittr positions itself as a pioneering force in community-driven wellness and healthcare innovation.
