In a world where technology tends to feel distant and cold, Ringg AI‘s latest AI inventions are subtly changing the way we experience our homes, by making it more personal, intuitive, and, yes, even a bit human.

A Doorbell That Knows More Than Just Faces

Picture yourself walking up to your front door after a long day and wondering if your delivery made it during your absence. Rather than browsing through hours of video endlessly, you just ask your Ring app, “When did the package arrive? ” At once, the AI-driven Smart Video Search identifies the specific moment, saving you time and frustration.

Having a friendly neighbor who is always aware of what’s happening near your front door, but never misses a detail or skips a day off.

Driven by Curiosity and Connection Ring’s AI doesn’t only see faces or packages—it gets context. Need to know whether your children arrived home from school last night safely, or whether the family pet escaped into the yard late last evening? Simply ask your question, and the AI applies sophisticated Visual Language Modelling to correlate your words with particular instances in your video record.

Founders and Team Background

Ringg AI is a Bengaluru-based startup founded in 2023 by a team that brings significant technical and entrepreneurial experience:

  • Kali Charan Vemuru: Co-founder, previously worked at Flipkart and is an alumnus of IIT Hyderabad. He also co-founded FlyWheel, a Slack community management tool that was acquired, and has experience in growth strategy through Reforge.
  • Utkarsh Shukla: Co-founder, runs Desivocal.com, and is an ex-data scientist at BlinkIt and Atlan. He has a strong background in AI, data science, and building scalable tech products1.
  • Abhishek Chauhan: Focuses on backend systems, large language models (LLMs), and AI agents, with previous experience at Zealth-AI (a Y Combinator W21 company). He is passionate about hackathons and building impactful technology.
  • Sarath Rachapudi: Product management and strategy, with experience in scaling business operations.

The team has a blend of deep technical expertise, product management, and entrepreneurial experience, with a focus on building scalable AI-driven calling solutions.

Media Recognition and Growth

Ringg AI’s founders have received media coverage, including recognition from India Today for their efforts in AI voice technology. The company has demonstrated strong user adoption, with over 100,000 minutes of connected call volumes in January 2025—a testament to their execution and product-market fit.

Features

What makes Ring’s AI feel so friendly is its capacity to learn and improve. The system is designed with safeguards to ensure privacy and prevent misuse, but it’s also constantly improving—getting better at understanding your queries, distinguishing between a UPS driver and a postal worker, or even picking out a red bicycle from a sea of backyard toys.

It’s the kind of thoughtful evolution you’d expect from a friend who pays attention to your routines and preferences.

As Eric Kuhn, who is the GM overseeing Ring experiences, explains, “It’s the next step, the next jump, which leverages a lot of the new AI tech and allows you to really slice way, way down to very, very specific things”
