Häfele India and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem. The purpose of this strategic alliance is to give startups and MSMEs access to high-quality supplier networks, market prospects, and infrastructure.
Boost to ‘Make in India’ Vision
Häfele India’s partnership with DPIIT strongly supports the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, which encourages domestic manufacturing and innovation. Häfele India has committed over $2.5 million to assist Indian startups in the appliance and furniture fittings manufacturing sectors. This initiative aims to place orders with local MSMEs to strengthen the domestic supply chain and reduce dependency on imports.

Under the partnership, Häfele India will provide technical collaboration and DPIIT’s Startup India platform would be critical for bringing firms together. Duration and Scope of the MoU
The MoU may be extended beyond the first two years with mutual constent.
