Space situational awareness startup Digantara has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round, marking a significant milestone for the Bengaluru-based company as it moves into a large-scale deployment phase of its satellite systems.
Digintara Expanding Worldwide
The new investment will help Digantara strengthen its presence worldwide, enhance manufacturing capacities, as well as boost research and development. The company aims to establish new development centers for optical systems and satellites, and double its research and development talent within a year.
Founded to build space-based monitoring and tracking solutions, Digantara is now preparing for an ambitious launch schedule. The company has outlined plans to deploy 15 space surveillance satellites, along with two specialised missile-warning satellites, over the 2026–27 timeframe.
The expanded constellation is aimed at improving real-time visibility and decision-making capabilities in orbit.
Digantara currently operates across India, Singapore and the United States, and is working towards a European expansion by mid-2026, as part of its broader international growth strategy.
The company is led by founder and chief executive officer Anirudh Sharma, and positions itself as a player focused on building long-term infrastructure for multidomain awareness from space.
With this funding round, Digantara is entering a phase where in-house manufacturing, deeper R&D, and overseas expansion are expected to play a central role in translating its technology into deployable, large-scale satellite systems.
