Wrtn Hits $870 Million Valuation as OOC Revenue Surges

South Korean AI company Wrtn Technologies has raised fresh funding at a 1.2 trillion won valuation, or about $870 million, as it prepares to expand globally.

The latest investment has brought Wrtn’s overall investment to approximately 230 billion won. The firm will be using the funds for improving their services and also expanding internationally and improving user security.

A key driver of the company’s growth is OOC, its North American AI storytelling platform. Since launching in May, OOC has reached 10 billion won in monthly revenue. The platform lets users create fictional worlds and interact with AI characters.

Wrtn also expects annual revenue to cross 200 billion won this year, up from about 47 billion won last year.

The funding gives Wrtn more room to build on OOC’s early traction and push further into international markets. Its near-$1 billion valuation also highlights the growing scale of AI companies emerging outside Silicon Valley.
