Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners led the funding round as Nexedge Capital prepares to expand its technology platform, deepen its India presence and build out an NRI proposition and NBFC business.
Wealth management firm Nexedge Capital has raised $20 million in its maiden funding round, with Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners leading the investment.
The fresh capital gives Nexedge more room to build out several parts of its business at once. The company plans to strengthen its technology platform, add to its senior banker network and widen its presence across India, with tier 2 and tier 3 cities forming part of that expansion.
Besides expansion geographically, Nexedge is also gearing up with a specific proposition for Non-resident Indians and intends to start an NBFC business, thus introducing two new elements to its overall wealth management strategy.
Banker expansion becomes a key part of Nexedge’s growth plan
One of the more notable pieces of Nexedge Capital’s expansion plan is the scale at which it is building its senior banking team.
The company says it has already onboarded more than 95 senior bankers and expects another 50 to 60 bankers to join during 2026. Nexedge also claims to have crossed $3 billion in assets under management within 18 months of starting operations.
That hiring plan puts people, alongside technology and geographic reach, at the centre of the company’s next phase following its maiden funding round.
Nexedge Capital is building around a broader wealth management model
Nexedge Capital, which is run by Anirudha Taparia since February 2025, provides wealth management and multi-family office services. The list of services provided includes investment, portfolio management, estate planning, business advisories and global mobility.
The company has positioned its model around managing a family’s wider net worth rather than limiting its focus to investable assets. Its clientele includes high net worth individuals, ultra high net worth individuals and families.
Taparia previously served as co-founder and Joint CEO of 360 ONE Wealth, where he was involved in building its wealth management business. At Nexedge, he is joined by co-founders including Sidhartha Shaw and Vijeeta Sharma, as well as 15 founding partners with experience across firms such as Citibank, Kotak Wealth, 360 ONE and Standard Chartered.
The combination of an expanding banker network and plans to reach more cities indicates where Nexedge is directing the capital from its first external fundraising milestone. Technology investment will sit alongside that expansion, while the planned NRI offering and NBFC business give the company additional areas to build.
Wealthtech funding remains active
Nexedge Capital’s $20 million round comes during continued investment activity across India’s wealthtech market.
Data compiled by Entrackr shows that Indian wealthtech startups raised more than $634 million across 51 funding rounds involving 39 startups during 2024 and 2025.
However, fund raising activities have been happening in the year 2026. Veriqus received Rs. 350 crores or nearly $40 million. Wint Wealth obtained $28 million, Neo Group obtained $36.3 million and Bachatt received $12 million in funding while some other firms also have managed to raise funds.
For Nexedge, however, the immediate focus after its maiden $20 million raise is clearly defined: strengthen the technology behind the platform, bring more senior bankers into the business, reach deeper into Indian cities and develop new offerings for NRIs and through its planned NBFC operation.
