The Adani Group, in collaboration with the Centre’s Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) division, is launching a global conclave aimed at reviving India’s ancient traditions, officials said.
The conclave, titled “Adani Global Indology Conclave: Reviving Parampara for a United World,” will be held from November 20 to 22 at the Adani Shantigram Township in Ahmedabad.
A senior IKS official described the initiative as “a visionary platform for the revitalization and global dissemination of India’s profound intellectual heritage.”
Vision of the Conclave: Weaving Tradition into Contemporary Discourse
According to the official, “The landmark event seeks to weave the timeless parampara (tradition) of Indian Knowledge Systems into the fabric of contemporary discourse, fostering interdisciplinary innovation, rigorous scholarship, and global collaboration to advance a harmonious and sustainable world.”
The conclave is designed to serve as a premier platform to showcase India’s rich intellectual heritage, encouraging participants to engage deeply with traditional knowledge while connecting it to modern global contexts.

Five Competitions to Encourage Participation and Innovation
The event will feature five competitions aimed at scholars, students, innovators, and enthusiasts, providing them opportunities to explore and reinterpret Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
Participants will be able to showcase their research and insights across 16 thematic areas of IKS, the official added.
The five competitions are:
- Indology Quiz Competition – Testing participants’ knowledge of Indian traditions and scholarly disciplines.
- Pragnya Tech Indic Deeptech Startup Challenge – Encouraging technology-based innovations rooted in Indian knowledge systems.
- Lokarangam – Universe of Indic Immersive Arts – Celebrating artistic interpretations of Indian traditions through immersive arts.
- IKS Poster Presentation Competition – Allowing participants to visually present research and insights on IKS themes.
- Documentary on IKS Thematic Areas – Encouraging filmmakers to explore and present thematic aspects of Indian Knowledge Systems.
Prizes for winners include ₹1 lakh, ₹50,000, ₹30,000, and ₹20,000, recognizing excellence across all competitions.
About the Indian Knowledge Systems Division
The IKS Division, part of the Ministry of Education (MoE), was established in October 2020. Its key objectives are:
- Promoting interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research on all aspects of Indian Knowledge Systems.
- Preserving and disseminating a deeper understanding and appreciation of IKS for research and societal applications.
- Supporting and funding the establishment of IKS centres, as well as interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research initiatives.
The division acts as a central body to facilitate research, scholarship, and innovation that connects India’s traditional knowledge with contemporary global challenges.
A Landmark Initiative to Revitalize Indian Heritage
Adani Global Indology Conclave is a significant move by India to present its parampara to the world again. With the combination of contests, grant, and deep diving experience, the event aims to connect the past knowledge with the present innovation to create a network and common understanding in different parts of the earth.
Authorities had that feeling that the conference would be an open forum for scholars, innovators, students, and enthusiasts to share ideas leading to an international revival of Indian Knowledge Systems.
