Rajat Gupta’s Journey: From 1.5 Cr Salary to Repill Founder

Few would dare leave behind a lucrative job offer worth ₹1.5 crore. But for Delhi-based Rajat Gupta, the call of entrepreneurship was stronger than the allure of a secure paycheck. He is witnessing significant success just months after launching his startup-Repill

An Unconventional Leap

An engineering graduate with international education and work experience, Rajat spent eight years working in Silicon Valley. While he was well on track for a flourishing career abroad, a vision to create meaningful change back home prompted him to take a bold step. In 2023, despite receiving an attractive ₹1.5 crore job offer, Rajat chose to return to India and pursue entrepreneurship.

The Birth of an Idea

While he was abroad, Rajat noticed the efficient prescription and medicine delivery system. Seeing that India did not have such smooth services, he was motivated to fill this gap. Teaming up with a 12-member core team, he spent nearly a year meticulously building a platform dedicated to home delivery of medicines.

Rajat Gupta: Building Repill

The result of this effort was “Repill” – a medicine delivery platform based in Delhi. Focused on providing quick, reliable, and accessible medicine delivery services, Repill has rapidly carved out a place for itself in a competitive market. Rajat’s venture not only reflects his entrepreneurial spirit but also his commitment to bringing global standards of healthcare convenience to India.

A Promising Start

Although the company is still in its early stages, the strong initial response has validated Rajat’s risk. His story exemplifies how calculated risks, fueled by a clear vision and purpose, can lead to early and promising success in India’s growing startup ecosystem.
