Major Initiatives That Defined the Year

Pack a Meal : Tackling Hunger in Partnership with Rise Against Hunger India

In collaboration with Rise Against Hunger India, a hunger relief non-profit, 15 Rotaractors came together to pack 7,736 meals for underserved communities. The event demonstrated the club’s hands-on approach to addressing food insecurity.

Voices Unheard – A Street Play for Gender Awareness

Performed at key Bengaluru locations like Church Street and MG Road, this impactful Nukkad Natak shed light on the often-overlooked challenges women face in public spaces. The performance attracted local attention and fostered dialogue on gender-based street harassment.

Eternal Donors 2.0 : Life-Saving Blood Donation Drive

Organized in collaboration with local blood banks, this event saw participation from students and faculty, collecting over 80 units of blood. It underlined the club’s commitment to public health and youth engagement.

Institutional Backing and Student Leadership

The Rotaract Club functions under the aegis of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Bengaluru, and is affiliated with Rotary International, which empowers young people to lead service-oriented initiatives globally.

The club’s success was supported by Dr. Narayani Ramachandran, Director of NMIMS Bengaluru, whose encouragement was instrumental throughout the year.

“Institutions thrive when students are socially engaged. The Rotaract Club is a shining example of responsible, future-ready leadership,” said Dr. Ramachandran in a statement of support.

Legacy of Impact

While the figures from the Impact Corner reflect measurable outcomes, the club’s leadership emphasized the deeper, emotional legacy of its work, fostering empathy, civic responsibility, and student unity.

As the 2024–25 term concludes, the Rotaract Club is preparing to transition to new leadership with an eye on expanding digital literacy, environmental initiatives, and urban community outreach.
