Miley Cyrus turned a fan’s heartfelt wish into reality by personally shaving her head during a private meeting in Los Angeles. Cash Jacobs, who is undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer, had appealed to the singer through TikTok while struggling with hair loss caused by chemotherapy.
Jacobs travelled to Los Angeles for Cyrus’ October 16 concert at the Hollywood Bowl, hoping her idol would notice her request. Before the show, she shared her anxiety about losing her hair so quickly that there might be little left for Cyrus to shave. Although the singer’s team contacted her for seating and contact details, the meeting did not happen that night. Jacobs returned home believing she would have to shave her head surrounded by family instead.
However, Cyrus had seen her videos and arranged to fly Jacobs back to Los Angeles for her second Hollywood Bowl performance. During their meeting, the singer comforted Jacobs, reminding her that she could be both “soft and strong,” before taking the clippers and shaving her head.
“Thank you for asking me to do this. I am honoured to be the one that you asked to share this moment with,” Cyrus told her in a video shared on TikTok.
Jacobs later described the experience as one of the most meaningful moments of her cancer journey, explaining how Cyrus’ music had supported her through depression and her diagnosis. “She took the time to meet me after and help me through one of the scariest and most intimate moments of my life,” she wrote.
Thanking the singer for making her feel safe and comfortable, Jacobs said the meeting meant far more than fulfilling a wish. It gave her a deeply personal memory to carry through a difficult period of treatment.
