The Noida Authority has suggested to the Uttar Pradesh government that Yamuna Pushta Road be upgraded from a 30 km stretch into a National Highway. The road covers Sector 94, alongside Delhi’s border, to Sector 150, running parallel to the Noida Expressway and then up to the Yamuna Expressway at Pari Chowk.
The road shall be upgraded to cope with the growing traffic due to corporate activities and the new Noida International Airport, scheduled to start operations in April. Last year, the Noida Authority floated this road as a bypass to relieve pressure on the highly used Noida Expressway, which carries around 500,000 vehicles daily. The plans include designing the road as an eight-lane or a six-lane elevated corridor.
CREDAI-NCR president Manoj Gaur believes it would benefit Noida and Greater Noida. He said, “If approved, it will reduce traffic, open up new growth opportunities in both commercial and residential sectors, and attract more investors and homebuyers.”
Sanjay Sharma, Director of SKA Group, added that the change could increase residential and commercial development. “This key change would put Noida and Greater Noida on a fast track to growth and enhance accessibility to prime locations,” he said.
On the road upgrade, Ajendra Singh, VP of Sales and Marketing, Spectrum@Metro, said it could change the face of commercial activities on the road. “Improved connectivity will lead to more retail and commercial businesses, moving this region to a hub for modern business activity,” he said.
This planning-phase development promises a lot, as stated by the CEO of Sundream Group, Harsh Gupta: “This development will certainly improve connectivity across various sectors and grow the real estate industry.”
With Yamuna Pushta Road becoming a place of development efforts, the transformational growth corridor route for Noida and Greater Noida will manifest itself. Better infrastructure will help to solve traffic issues and develop new growth into some of the best connectivity possible, which will start shining once the new airport finally rises.
