Siddharth Gupta Named Chief Marketing Officer at Britannia Industries

New Delhi, February 14, 2025Siddharth Gupta has been appointed as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Britannia Industries Ltd, replacing Amit Doshi, who recently resigned from the role.

As the General Manager of Marketing for Premium Creams, Crackers, Marie, and Milk Biscuits, Gupta has been an integral part of Britannia since 2018. Before joining the company, he held a position at Colgate-Palmolive India, where he gained extensive experience in brand management and marketing strategy.

Leadership Transition at Britannia

Amit Doshi, who is a past master in Britannia’s marketing function, quit his job on January 31, 2025. His departure day is set on March 17, 2025. Doshi was instrumental in driving business growth, brand building, and market development in major product categories like Biscuits, Crème Wafers, and Salty Snacks during his tenure. With Gupta taking charge of the helm, the firm is likely to sustain its momentum in building brand equity and market share while aiming for sustainable and profitable growth.

Britannia Industries, a top FMCG player in India, has dominated the bakery and dairy industry for decades. Industry players project innovative marketing practices further to consolidate Britannia’s hold on the Indian market under Gupta’s guidance.
