Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler companies, has appointed Saurabh Sharma as its new Head of Marketing. Sharma, who joined the company in 2019, will now lead Ather’s brand building, customer connect, and long-term marketing efforts.
A Proven Track Record in Brand Building
Having initially joined Ather as its first-ever Brand Head, Sharma played a pivotal role in establishing the Ather 450X and Ather Rizta as key contenders in India’s electric vehicle (EV) segment. His brand and market growth skills led him into the role of General Manager – Scooter Business, where he spearheaded crucial growth projects and scaled Ather’s business all over the country.
Prior to his stint at Ather, Sharma had worked with Nerolac Paints and Mahindra SUVs, where he had developed expertise in consumer marketing, strategic planning, and business development. Having a long and varied experience across industries, he is perfectly placed to lead Ather’s marketing strategy to new heights.

Ather Energy Chief Business Officer Ravneet Singh Phokela praised Sharma’s work in the company’s growth, stating that his wide experience in market forces and customers’ needs is the best possible person to drive the brand to its next level.
“Saurabh has been instrumental in shaping Ather’s journey so far. His expertise will be invaluable as we aim to strengthen customer engagement and establish a more formidable brand presence in the EV space,” Phokela said in a statement.
