Adani unveils ₹65,000 crore mega energy investment plan for Chhattisgarh

Gautam Adani, one of the world’s most influential billionaire industrialists, committed ₹65,000 crores to Chhattisgarh investment as a massive headway in huge deals on energy and cement projects. According to Chhattisgarh’s public relations department statement, Adani met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in Raipur. How Much Major Boost for Power and Cement Sectors

Adani disclosed plans to invest ₹60,000 crore under an expansion plan for power plants the Adani Group operates in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, slated to add 6,120 MW to the total power generation capacity of the state, making a significant improvement in the energy infrastructure in Chhattisgarh.

₹5,000 crore has been provided for the upgradation and expansion of cement plants of the group, making further improvements in the state’s industrial growth.

CSR and state development

In line with the recommendations of Chief Minister Sai, the Adani Group also announced an investment of ₹10,000 crore in the next four years in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism initiatives. These initiatives will be CSR initiatives by the group, helping to improve local communities and sustain development.

Exploring new ventures

The meeting also brought to the discussion new avenues of partnerships in manufacturing defence equipment, the establishment of data centres, and having a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh. This venture diversifies the industrial skyline of the state, thus growing opportunities for better employment and job growth.
