What Did Nana Patekar’s Postmortem Report Reveal?
The autopsy identified a blood clot in the left main coronary artery, a major blood vessel responsible for supplying blood to a significant portion of the heart.
According to news agency PTI, the medical findings established the cause of death as “acute myocardial infarction due to left main coronary artery thrombosis secondary to atherosclerotic occlusive coronary artery disease, a natural cause of death”.
In simpler terms, Patekar suffered a heart attack associated with a blood clot obstructing blood flow through an artery already affected by coronary artery disease.
A senior doctor at Goa Medical College and Hospital confirmed the findings on Sunday, October 11.
