iPhone 18 Pro Launch: Apple’s next iPhone launch is now days away, but attention is already shifting from the unveiling itself to when buyers may actually be able to place their orders.

The launch date of the Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro has already been set for September 9, 2026. However, the particular line-up of devices that would be announced has not been disclosed by the company, but iPhone 18 Pro range of phones and a foldable iPhone that goes by the name iPhone Ultra are the two names that have been suggested before the event.

The more immediate development concerns pre-orders. Apple has not announced an official pre-order date, but the latest information circulating online points to Saturday, September 12, 2026 for the iPhone 18 Pro models.

That date would be noteworthy because Apple typically opens iPhone pre-orders on a Friday. This year, however, the Friday immediately following the September 9 event falls on September 11. The report suggests Apple could instead move the opening to the following day, September 12, given the significance of September 11 in the United States.

A midnight opening could be another change

The date may not be the only departure from Apple’s usual pre-order routine.

MacRumors reported that Apple could open pre-sales at midnight Pacific Time on Saturday, rather than the 5 am PT timing generally associated with its pre-order launches.

If the reported schedule proves accurate, buyers looking for the iPhone 18 Pro would be dealing with two changes at once: a Saturday pre-order opening and a significantly earlier start time.

Neither the September 12 date nor the midnight PT timing has been confirmed by Apple, so both should be treated as reported possibilities rather than final scheduling details.

Foldable iPhone may follow a different timetable

The rumoured foldable iPhone could have a separate availability window.

The report indicates that pre-orders for the device, referred to as the iPhone Ultra, may not begin alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. Instead, availability is being discussed for later in September.

The foldable model might not reach the market before November 2026, even if Apple chooses to unveil it at the September event.

A product announcement would not necessarily mean every new iPhone introduced by Apple becomes available for ordering at the same time.

Until now, September 9 has been confirmed as the date when the next iPhone cycle by Apple will begin. September 12 looks like the likely date when people can pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro, but Apple needs to make an official release of its selling calendar.
