Robotic neuro-rehabilitation startup Rymo Technologies has raised Rs 10 crore in a seed funding round led by IAN Group through its evergreen fund, with participation from several angel investors. The funding marks a significant step forward for the Mumbai-based company as it looks to scale its technology and operations.

The company plans to use the newly raised capital to accelerate product innovation, enhance its manufacturing capabilities, and strengthen its footprint across India. It also aims to expand into international markets, particularly in the ASEAN region and the Middle East.

Building Technology for Recovery and Independence

Founded in 2020 by Chirag Shah and Abhishek Rai, Rymo Technologies focuses on transforming physical rehabilitation through the use of advanced robotics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. The startup develops solutions designed to make rehabilitation more accessible, efficient, and affordable.

At the center of its offerings is the Mobi-L system, a robotic rehabilitation platform aimed at helping patients recover mobility and regain independence after strokes, injuries, and other neurological conditions. The system is designed to support structured therapy while adapting to individual patient needs.

Addressing Gaps in Neuro-Rehabilitation Access

Rymo Technologies is targeting a critical gap in the healthcare ecosystem. While the global incidence of stroke and neurological disorders continues to rise, access to advanced rehabilitation remains limited. This gap is largely driven by a shortage of trained therapists and the high cost associated with traditional robotic rehabilitation systems.

By developing cost-effective and scalable solutions, the company aims to make advanced rehabilitation more widely available, particularly in regions where such services are currently difficult to access.

A Technology-Driven Approach to Therapy

startup has built a multi-layered technology platform that combines patented hardware architecture with proprietary algorithms trained on patient data. Its systems feature a modular design, allowing flexibility in deployment across different clinical settings.

Rymo’s multi-joint robotic rehabilitation system integrates artificial intelligence to personalize therapy sessions. This approach is designed to deliver measurable outcomes by tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s progress and recovery needs.

Expanding Clinical Presence Across India

Rymo Technologies reports strong early traction within the healthcare ecosystem. The company has installed more than 452 devices and serves 354 clinical customers across the country.

Its client base includes prominent healthcare institutions such as All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Apollo Hospitals, and Manipal Hospitals. These partnerships highlight growing adoption of robotic rehabilitation technologies in mainstream clinical environments.

Delivering Measurable Patient Outcomes

Rymo’s systems have been used to support more than 7,500 patients, delivering over 15,000 hours of therapy. According to the company, clinical studies indicate that its technology can enable recovery outcomes that are up to 25 percent faster.

These results underscore the potential of combining robotics and artificial intelligence in rehabilitation, offering a more structured and data-driven approach to patient care.

With fresh funding in place and a growing clinical presence, Rymo Technologies is positioning itself to expand access to advanced neuro-rehabilitation solutions both in India and globally.
