Bengaluru-based consulting and advisory firm Kayess Square has raised Rs 10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Vakil Housing. The round also saw participation from individual investors including Parthasarathy NS, Ramakrishna, Umashankar, Raveen Sastry, Vadiraj Katti, Suresh Pillay, Anand Narayanan, and others.

The company said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen its core practice areas and further enhance the quality and depth of its advisory services. The funding marks an important milestone for the firm as it looks to build a more institutionalised and scalable advisory platform.

Building at the Crossroads of Finance and Governance

Founded in 2017 by Sathya Pramod and Shivadutt Bannanje, Kayess Square operates at the intersection of finance, governance, transactions, and law. Headquartered in Bengaluru, the firm has positioned itself as a multi-disciplinary advisory partner for businesses navigating complex financial and regulatory landscapes.

Over the years, Kayess Square has developed capabilities across CFO advisory, mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory, due diligence, valuation, risk management, tax advisory, and secretarial services. Its approach focuses on combining financial insight with governance and compliance expertise, allowing clients to make informed decisions while maintaining regulatory discipline.

Supporting Companies Across Growth Stages

Kayess Square works closely with startups, growth-stage companies, and investors across sectors. Its services are designed to support businesses at different points in their lifecycle, starting from early institutionalisation and capital raising to operational scaling and strategic transactions.

A significant part of its work involves transaction and M&A advisory, where the firm assists clients with deal structuring, financial diligence, and investment evaluation. These offerings are complemented by strategic investment support for investors seeking clarity on risk, valuation, and long-term value creation.

Fractional CFO and Compliance-Led Services

In addition to transaction-focused work, Kayess Square operates a fractional CFO platform that provides companies with access to senior financial leadership without the need for a full-time appointment. This model has gained traction among startups and mid-sized businesses seeking strategic financial oversight and operational discipline.

The firm also offers expertise in tax structuring, valuation, corporate and secretarial compliance, risk advisory, and legal contract management. By integrating these services, Kayess Square aims to act as a single advisory partner for businesses managing both growth ambitions and compliance obligations.

Strengthening Tax Capabilities Through Acquisition

In 2025, Kayess Square acquired the tax compliance and tax advisory division of Consark Advisory Services LLP. This move strengthened the firm’s direct and indirect tax capabilities and expanded its ability to serve clients with complex tax and regulatory requirements.

The acquisition aligned with the company’s broader strategy of deepening domain expertise and building comprehensive advisory capabilities under one platform. It also allowed Kayess Square to expand its service offerings without diluting its focus on quality and execution.

Track Record and Client Engagement

According to information shared by the company, Kayess Square has executed more than 4,000 projects and served over 100 clients to date. Its client base includes startups, established enterprises, and investment firms seeking structured advisory support across finance, transactions, and governance.

The firm’s repeat engagements and long-term client relationships reflect its emphasis on practical execution and contextual advice rather than generic consulting solutions.

Roadmap for the Next Phase of Growth

Looking ahead, Kayess Square plans to use the new capital to attract experienced professionals, strengthen internal capabilities, and deepen expertise across its key practice areas. The company also intends to selectively expand into key business geographies, aligned with client demand and regulatory complexity.

Its long-term objective is to build a scaled, institution-led advisory platform that can support businesses and investors as they navigate growth, capital deployment, and governance in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. With the latest funding in place, Kayess Square is positioning itself to play a larger role in India’s evolving advisory and consulting landscape.
