In an astonishing turn of events, a popular Chinese influencer known as Ting Ting recently revealed that she discovered her pregnancy just a day before giving birth. The revelation, shared on social media, quickly went viral on Weibo, leaving netizens shocked and intrigued.
In her recent post Ting Ting recounted that on the night of November 6, she was casually playing a game on her phone when she noticed something unusual. Initially assuming it was the start of her period, she was stunned to find herself standing in a pool of blood. Despite the alarming sight, she reported feeling no pain and spent the next 30 minutes in the bathroom, trying to comprehend the situation.
The next day, Ting Ting went to see a gynecologist. After a proper check-up, the doctor asked her a sudden question: “Miss, are you pregnant?” Ting Ting, who had normal menstrual cycles and presented no common signs of pregnancy like nausea or cravings, dismissed the possibility at first. But an ultrasound discovered that she was already 34 weeks pregnant.
Adding to the surprise, Ting Ting disclosed that she had only been intimate with her partner once during that period and had even taken a morning-after pill. Despite her disbelief, the signs were undeniable—what she assumed were cramps had been contractions, and her water had already broken.
After telling her mother the surprising news, the two arranged a visit to the hospital without haste, believing there was still a month to prepare. A hospital check-up, however, showed that Ting Ting was already in labor, with her cervix half-dilated. The unexpected news sent her blood pressure soaring, making the delivery more complicated.
Luckily, in spite of the preterm delivery, Ting Ting’s baby was born safely and remained in the ICU for 10 days before it could be taken home. Looking back at the strange experience, Ting Ting noted the strangeness of her pregnancy, citing that she never felt any fetal movement, perhaps because of her body type. Even repeated pregnancy tests had yielded negative results.
Medical professionals who were interviewed by Chinese media said they were surprised, calling such instances extremely rare. Ting Ting, on the other hand, has utilized her platform to caution her fans about the need to be well-prepared for parenthood, admitting the risks her case posed to her and her child.
The incredible story generated a buzz on the web as some netizens doubted its authenticity while others credited it to miracle. Either way, Ting Ting and her new baby are said to be in good condition.
