Suhora Technologies Secures IN-SPACe Grant for Maritime Solutions

Suhora Technologies, an Indian space data analytics startup, has received the IN-SPACe Seed Fund Grant-in-Aid as part of the ‘Announcement of Opportunity for the Marine Sector Utilizing Space Technology.’ Improved ocean monitoring, surveillance, and catastrophe response are the goals of this endeavor, which seeks to use space technology for maritime domain awareness.

Launched on July 16, 2024, the IN-SPACe Seed Fund Scheme received 45 bids from various organizations and entrepreneurs. Due to its novel strategy for geospatial analytics and Earth Observation (EO), Suhora Technologies was chosen after a thorough evaluation by a panel of space specialists.

Revolutionizing Earth Observation & Maritime Security

Innovative Satellite-as-a-Service solutions are provided by Suhora Technologies through the integration of state-of-the-art satellite imagery with sophisticated data analytics. Its tasking, exploitation, and dissemination system is based on SaaS and provides automated analytics and real-time maritime insights. It also makes multi-sensor integration better.

Ocean surveillance, marine security, and disaster response operations rely heavily on these skills. To provide security agencies and coastal authorities with real-time situational awareness, the company’s software is built for ocean monitoring, maritime security, and disaster response efforts.

Optimizing Satellite Imaging & AI-Powered Alerts

Optimizing satellite orbit dynamics with Suhora’s technologies enhances imaging capabilities and provides smart tip-and-cue tasking for precise monitoring. Critical maritime activities are supported by the platform’s automated AI alerting engine, which boosts detection efficiency.

The chief operating officer and co-founder of Suhora Technologies, Amit Kumar, was overjoyed to hear about the donation and said, “We are honored to receive this seed fund from IN-SPACe. Space technology has immense potential to transform maritime operations. With this funding, we aim to develop cutting-edge solutions that contribute to a secure and sustainable blue economy.”

Market Growth & Future Outlook

The global downstream space tech market is expected to reach $610 billion by 2031, according to a report by ISpA-NASSCOM-Deloitte. In defense, intelligence, and surveillance operations, maritime domain awareness is still an essential component.

IN-SPACe introduced the Seed Fund Scheme in December 2023 as part of its objective to encourage business sector involvement in space technology. Startups and micro & small businesses (MSEs) are being supported by this program as they work to improve the quality of life and boost economic growth through the development of new space products and services.

Suhora Technologies, having won this award, is in a prime position to spearhead innovation in the intersection of space technology and maritime intelligence.
